About P&N Bank
P&N Bank, personal and business banking in Western Australia
P&N Bank is a customer-owned bank based in Western Australia (WA). Its range covers everyday accounts, savings accounts, term deposits, home loans, personal loans, credit cards and insurance, for both individuals and businesses. The institution presents itself as Western Australia's largest locally based customer-owned bank.
Savings and finance products
Among its savings products is the Hi Saver Account, which offers an introductory interest rate for the first four months on balances up to $5 million per account, in addition to the standard rate from the date of opening. A holder can maintain a single Hi Saver Account as an individual owner and another as a joint owner, and can apply for a new account twelve months after the previous one is closed.
In home lending, the site shows an exclusive online offer for a basic variable home loan, with an online variable rate from 5.83% p.a. and a comparison rate of 5.86% p.a. The discount applies to eligible applications received from 21/08/2026, on basic variable home loans for owner-occupied properties with new borrowings or top-ups of at least $100,000 and a loan-to-value ratio (LVR) of 80% or less. It does not apply to construction loans or products with an LVR above 80%, cannot be combined with other offers and is excluded for applications processed through brokers, branches, mobile lenders or the contact centre.
The institution also offers personal loans, credit cards and insurance, and provides calculators and a branch locator among its support tools.
Digital banking and payments
P&N Bank facilitates online operations through internet banking, a mobile app and mymo, a budgeting app. For purchases at participating online merchants, it offers Click to Pay, which allows payment with an eligible Visa card without entering card details for each purchase.
Customers can make deposits and withdrawals through Bank@Post, an agency service provided by Australia Post on behalf of more than 80 financial institutions, available only with a P&N Visa card. Cheques must be made payable to the cardholder and require a minimum of seven business days to clear.
Customer service and contact channels
Service is provided online, at local branches and through a contact centre based in Perth. Phone service hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 to 18:00 WST and Saturdays 9:00 to 17:00 WST. The institution publishes its BSB number (806-015) and offers specific help sections for reporting lost or stolen cards, restricting card access, disputing transactions, managing deceased estates and refinancing home loans.
History and ownership model
The institution began operating in 1969 as Western Australian Police Union Cooperative Credit Union Society Limited, then limited to police officers and local employees. The addition of nursing professionals and successive mergers with other state-based credit unions during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s gave rise to today's bank. As a customer-owned bank, it reinvests its profits in improving its products and services, and operates as an authorised deposit-taking institution (ADI) supervised by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).
Awards and community commitment
The institution was named Bank of the Year in the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and has also received distinctions for best customer service and as most recommended customer-owned bank. P&N Bank states its commitment to financial inclusion and to the Western Australian community, and describes itself as an equal opportunity employer.
