About Eclipse Education
Practical training with national recognition in Australia
Eclipse Education is an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO #32252) regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). It delivers nationally recognised courses and its certificates, known as statements of attainment, are valid throughout Australia. The organisation states it has more than 15 years of activity, over 30 training locations and more than 500,000 students trained, and notes that more than 40 courses run each week.
Accredited and non-accredited courses
The catalogue combines nationally recognised programmes and complementary training. Accredited courses include:
- First Aid (HLTAID011 Provide First Aid).
- CPR (HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
- White Card (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry).
- National RSA (SITHFAB021 Provide responsible service of alcohol).
- RSA Victoria (SITHFAB021 Responsible service of alcohol for Victoria).
- Food Handling (SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety).
- Food Supervisor (SITXFSA006 Participate in safe food handling practices).
It also offers a short coffee and barista course, which is non-accredited, focused on practical skills for the hospitality sector. The organisation indicates that new short courses and nationally recognised training options will be added.
Course duration and delivery mode
Duration varies by programme. CPR takes around 2-3 hours; the Provide First Aid course takes approximately a full day, split between online theory and a 7-8 hour practical session in person; the White Card also runs over a full day. RSA and food handling courses can be completed entirely online in a few hours and at the student's own pace. Many programmes follow a blended learning model: theory is completed online and then a shorter practical session is attended in person.
Training for businesses, schools and government
Eclipse Education delivers group and corporate training for businesses, schools, councils and community organisations across all of its nationally recognised courses. Training can be delivered at the client's premises or at the organisation's own venues, with flexible scheduling to suit rosters and group certificates and records. The company states it has trained individual students, workplaces, schools, community organisations and major brands in Victoria, New South Wales and beyond.
Booking and certification process
Booking is done online by selecting course, location and date. Before the course, the student receives instructions on the venue, what to bring and pre-course tasks. The administrative team handles enquiries by phone and email on business days. Digital certificates are usually issued within 1-2 business days after course completion, while physical first aid cards are sent by post within a few weeks. For White Card training, photo identification is mandatory; generally, current official identification such as a driver's licence or passport is required. Rescheduling can be managed from the student's account at no cost if more than 24 hours remain before the class; with less notice, a booking fee applies.
Training locations
The organisation operates more than 30 locations across Australia and adds new venues regularly. Main locations include Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo and Colac, with different courses available at each. The Geelong venue offers First Aid, CPR, White Card, RSA and Food Handling; Melbourne, Ballarat and Bendigo deliver White Card, and Ballarat and Bendigo also offer First Aid, CPR, RSA and Food Handling. Colac offers First Aid and CPR.
Student reviews
The site shows an average rating of 4.9 out of 5, with 8,364 reviews on Facebook, more than 1,000 on Trustpilot and more than 100 on Google. Testimonials highlight the clarity of the online theory, the ability to progress at one's own pace and the quality of the practical sessions, some delivered by a paramedic.
