Eureka Pet Co: Australian-made air-dried dog food

Eureka Pet Co is an Australian dog food company that produces air-dried food and treats. The company describes itself as 100% Australian owned and operated, originating from a family farm in Eureka, New South Wales. Its approach focuses on a high-protein, low-carb ancestral diet made with real meat, bone, and organs, supplemented with a blend of fruits, vegetables, and seeds.

Recipes and proteins

Eureka Pet Co's range includes seven air-dried food recipes, made in Australia. Among the protein combinations it offers are wild venison with grass-fed lamb, wild kangaroo with grass-fed lamb, wild boar with free-range chicken, single-protein chicken, single-protein wild kangaroo, grass-fed lamb with wild sardine, and turkey with duck. The company states that its lamb is grass-fed, its chicken is free-range, and that it incorporates ethical Australian proteins in every recipe.

The production process involves gentle air-drying at 68 degrees to preserve nutrients. The company states that its recipes contain no fillers or preservatives and are formulated to meet AAFCO nutritional requirements for all life stages.

Treats, supplements, and accessories

In addition to air-dried food, the company offers functional treats, natural treats, supplements, and accessories. It also offers sample packs containing all seven recipes so that even the fussiest dogs can try before committing to a larger purchase.

Feeding calculator and subscription

The website provides a feeding calculator that estimates the daily amount of food each dog needs based on weight, body condition, activity level, and the percentage of daily calories to be covered by Eureka, whether as a sole food or as a supplement. The company offers a subscription service with auto-delivery, discounts on subscription orders, free treats for life for subscribers, and the ability to pause, change, or cancel at any time. It also mentions a 100% money-back guarantee.

Sustainability and certification

Eureka Pet Co states that many of its recipes incorporate ethically harvested wild game, turning a threat to native habitat into an abundant, low-carbon protein source. The company states that its ovens are solar-powered and that its air-dried food recipes are certified carbon neutral through NOCO2, Australia's longest-running carbon abatement scheme.
