In its third century of service to the Law School and its alumni, the Harvard Law School Association (HLSA) remains committed to the mission stated in its 1886 Constitution:

The objects of this Association shall be to advance the cause of legal education, to promote the interests and increase the usefulness of the Harvard Law School, and to promote mutual acquaintance and good fellowship among all members of the Association.

All alumni of the Law School are part of the HLSA. Over 70 local and international associations are active in the United States and abroad. Quinquennial Class Reunions, which bring hundreds of alumni back to campus, are held October and April weekends. Reunion directories and class reports are published for every reunion class.

The HLSA is governed by a Council of 28 members and eight officers. The Council meets formally twice per year and supports a wide range of activities. HLSA Committees are active in areas of special interest (e.g., Public Interest Law) and in support of special constituencies and recent graduates, as well as in support of the affiliated associations, reunions and class activities, and the International Section of the HLSA.

HLSA’s Representative for the Latin America and Caribbean Region is Elisabeth Eljuri ’92. HLSA’s Perú Country Representative and Co-Chair for the Latin America and Caribbean Region is Víctor M. Marroquín Merino ’93.

Alumni receive access privileges at the Law School Library. Members who pay dues may request a subscription to an HLS student publication and a copy of the Alumni Directory of the Harvard Law School.
