15th Street Fisheries

Seafood restaurant inside Lauderdale Marina, a waterfront landmark since 1978 with casual Dockside dining and a more formal Upstairs experience.

About 15th Street Fisheries

15th Street Fisheries operates inside Lauderdale Marina at 1900 SE 15th St and has been a Fort Lauderdale waterfront dining landmark since 1978. The building was erected in 1976 on the marina property founded by Robert Cox, and the restaurant later became one of the most recognizable dining destinations in the city’s boating district.

The restaurant offers two distinct experiences. Fisheries Dockside downstairs is casual and serves lunch, dinner, drinks and live entertainment beside the docks. The Upstairs dining room offers a more traditional dinner setting, nautical décor and panoramic Intracoastal views. Reservations are accepted for Upstairs dinner, while Dockside operates on a walk-in basis.

One of the property’s best-known attractions is the large tarpon that gather beneath the marina docks, where visitors can watch and feed the fish. Guests can also arrive by boat or aboard the Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi, which stops at the marina. Aqua Bar adds a dedicated waterfront bar experience at dock level.

The Fisheries works for families and visitors seeking a distinctly South Florida waterfront outing as well as diners who prefer a scenic dinner. The marina setting and the choice between casual and more formal dining are central to its identity.
