Tiixo

Tiixo, an online lighting studio for sculptural fixtures and home décor

Tiixo is an online retailer built around lighting and design-led home décor. Its catalogue is organised around materials and the quality of light a fixture throws rather than around a single style: hand-finished ribbed and tinted glass, veined alabaster cut thin enough to glow, brushed metal and solid oak. The range runs from statement chandeliers and pendant lighting to architectural wall sconces, floor and table lamps, ceiling fans and outdoor fixtures, complemented by décor chosen under the same criteria.

The company presents itself as a studio for people who care how a room feels, and frames its selection around proportion, material and the light each piece produces. It also states that every piece shown in its room scenes is its own.

Lighting categories in the catalogue

The lighting side of the catalogue is divided into several families, each with its own subcategories:

• Ceiling lights, including chandeliers, pendant lights, semi-flush and flush-mount ceiling lights.
• Wall lights, wall sconces, bath and vanity lights, undercabinet lights and lighted mirrors.
• Lamps: floor lamps, table lamps and desk lamps, including cordless and rechargeable models.
• Outdoor lighting: outdoor wall lights, landscape lighting, path and garden lights, solar lights, motion sensor lights, bollard lights and permanent outdoor lighting.
• Ceiling fans and air quality appliances.

Fixtures are also grouped by room, with dedicated selections for bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, entry and foyer, and office lighting, and by material, with sections for alabaster and stone, glass and crystal, and brass and wood.

Named pieces and collections

Among the products listed are the Verdi cordless layered table lamp in green glass and brass with touch dimming, a waterproof cast-concrete outdoor up/down wall light, the Saku handcrafted resin pebble pendant in diameters from 30 to 60 cm, the Cairn bollard path light with built-in weatherproof socket and motion sensor, and the Thetford two-head linear pendant in brass or nickel at lengths from 102 to 140 cm.

The glass and crystal collection is presented as hand-finished ribbed and tinted glass that turns a single bulb into atmosphere, sculptural by day and luminous after dark, and includes pieces such as Albero, Ghiaccio and Kiel. New arrivals listed at the time of writing include the Zerane art-glass wall sconce in four glass tones with gold or black frame, a cordless rechargeable mushroom table lamp in walnut grain, the Sidney ceramic flower wall sconce with scalloped shade and brass arm, the Bittel domed retro bedside lamp in three warm colourways, and the Anita fluted ceramic pendant with white shade and antique brass.

Décor beyond lighting

Alongside fixtures, the store carries wall art and gallery-wall pieces, abstract paintings and canvas prints, rugs and bath mats, curtains, vases and bowls, faux plants, candles and candle warmers, throw blankets and pillow covers, wall clocks, mirrors, shelves and console tables. The home section extends to kitchen storage and organisation, tableware, cutting boards, desks and desk accessories, office chairs and standing desks, plus seasonal and holiday items such as Halloween décor and inflatables, artificial trees and holiday projectors.
