Ingo Money

U.S. mobile service for submitting eligible paper checks for review and directing approved funds to bank, prepaid, card or PayPal accounts.

About Ingo Money

Deposit checks through a mobile app

The Ingo Money App lets enrolled users submit photographs of the front and back of a paper check using a mobile device. The service says users can cash paychecks, personal and business checks, money orders and other eligible items, subject to review and approval. After an approved check is funded, customers can choose a supported account or card as the destination rather than visiting a check-cashing line.

Choose the timing and destination

During submission, customers select when they want funds and where they should go. Ingo describes a “Money in Minutes” option that carries a fee and a no-fee option that generally takes ten days. The app can direct funds to many bank, debit, prepaid or credit-card accounts and PayPal, and can split a check among more than one destination. Most checks are reviewed within a few minutes, although the company says review can take up to an hour and may require a voided-check image.

Eligibility, fees and approval

Every check is subject to review, and Ingo Money reserves discretion to approve or reject a funding request. Fees apply to approved “Money in Minutes” transactions; wireless data charges and fees or terms from the receiving account may also apply. The source states that the service is for checks issued on U.S. financial accounts and that it is not available for use within New York State. Customers should review the app’s current fee schedule, supported-account list and terms before submitting a check.

Supported accounts and financial partners

The website names Sunrise Banks, N.A., Member FDIC, and Ingo Money, Inc. as providers of the service, subject to their terms and conditions. Its supported-network information includes accounts from a range of U.S. banks and payment networks, prepaid cards, PayPal and selected mobile-banking apps. The names are listed to describe compatibility; the site expressly says that trademarks do not mean the named institutions endorse or are associated with Ingo Money.

Download and enrollment

To begin, users download the app, create a profile, link eligible debit, prepaid, credit-card or PayPal accounts, photograph the check and submit it for review. The app is free to download, though mobile-data rates may apply. If a check is approved and funded, the customer receives funds according to the selected timing. The website provides app-store links, benefits and fee information, FAQs and legal disclosures, plus Facebook, X, LinkedIn and YouTube channels.
