Readhaven

Readhaven, an independent online bookstore based in the UK

Readhaven is an independent online bookstore that sells physical books and ebooks. According to its own account, the business was founded in 2019 in Manchester by three friends with a shared interest in books and has since grown into a destination for readers across the United Kingdom. The company presents itself as independent and states that it will not be owned by a multinational technology group.

The catalogue is organised around a general trade offer rather than a single genre: the store lists bestsellers, fiction, non-fiction and gift books, and combines printed editions with digital titles delivered instantly.

Physical books and ebooks

The shop divides its offer into two main lines. The physical side covers hardbacks, paperbacks and gift books, which the company says it sources directly from UK publishers and distributors. The digital side consists of ebooks, which are delivered instantly after purchase.

Readhaven describes its reason for launching as dissatisfaction with what it characterises as limited stock in high-street shops, slow delivery and ebooks tied to complicated platforms. Its stated approach is that every order is handled by people rather than automated systems.

Titles listed in the catalogue

At the time of writing this profile, the storefront displayed a selection of current titles with their prices in pounds sterling, including:

• A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas, £ 6.90
• We All Live Here by Jojo Moyes, £ 6.90
• Heart the Lover by Lily King, £ 9.50, also featured as the offer of the week
• Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Partypooper by Jeff Kinney, £ 8.50
• Ward D: A Taut Psychological Thriller by Freida McFadden, £ 5.50
• My Friends by Fredrik Backman, £ 9.50
• The Long Shoe by Bob Mortimer, £ 12.00
• The Names by Florence Knapp, £ 6.50

The same titles appear both in the latest items section and in the list of most popular products, so the catalogue shown is short and changes with the store's own updates.

Team and customer contact

The company describes its staff as a small group of booksellers, editors, logistics specialists and lifelong readers based in the UK. It states that customers who write or chat with the store reach a person directly. The site also publishes its shipping, returns and refunds, billing and payment, terms of service and privacy policies as separate documents.
