Smile Design Studio

Private dentistry in Wakefield with a cosmetic focus

Smile Design Studio is a private dental practice in Wakefield that combines routine general dentistry with aesthetic and restorative treatments. The clinic presents itself as a destination for patients seeking straighter, whiter teeth in a calm, modern setting, and states that it welcomes patients from Leeds, Doncaster, Barnsley and across West Yorkshire. Its stated scope runs from check-ups and hygiene through to cosmetic work, orthodontics and implants.

The practice describes a team of more than ten trained dental practitioners and clinical staff, and cites over eighteen years of combined private and NHS sector experience, with individual practitioners bringing more than thirty years of experience. It also reports carrying out over a thousand procedures and treatments annually and says that all of its patients would recommend it to friends and family.

General dentistry and preventive care

The core service is general dentistry and dental hygiene: routine check-ups, professional cleaning, fillings and preventive care aimed at long-term oral health. Endodontics and white fillings are listed among the treatments, alongside child dentistry. The practice recommends regular check-ups with the dentist as part of ongoing care.

Cosmetic and aesthetic treatments

Cosmetic dentistry is presented as a central specialism. The clinic lists composite bonding, veneers and teeth whitening, and frames its aesthetic work as enhancing the overall smile rather than only correcting alignment. Facial aesthetics are also offered, described as non-surgical treatments intended to reduce wrinkles.

Orthodontics and aligners

Teeth straightening is available through fixed braces and clear aligners, including discreet orthodontic systems. The practice positions this within aesthetic dentistry, offering options ranging from subtle improvements to fuller smile correction, with the team recommending an approach according to each patient's goals.

Implants and restorative work

Dental implants appear among the restorative services, alongside general and cosmetic treatments. The clinic states that it uses digital scanners, modern imaging and advanced materials, and that it works with premium brands and industry-leading tools.

Care for nervous patients and children

A significant part of the practice's approach is aimed at nervous and anxious patients, including people who have avoided the dentist for long periods. The team describes a gentle, non-judgmental method intended to build trust, listening to concerns and proceeding at the patient's pace. Free acclimatisation visits are offered so that patients can meet the team, ask questions and look around the practice without pressure. Children's dentistry is also a named service, and the practice presents itself as a children's dentist in Wakefield.

Pricing, payment plans and referrals

The clinic states that every treatment comes with a detailed written estimate and that any changes are communicated in advance, with the aim of avoiding hidden costs. A published price list covers treatments, and flexible payment plans are available to spread the cost of more complex or cosmetic work. The practice also accepts professional referrals from dentists in Wakefield and beyond, handled through a patient referral form and with communication maintained with the referring practice.

Appointments and emergency care

Appointment requests can be made online, subject to confirmation within 24 hours, or by telephone. Same-day emergency appointments are offered whenever possible, including evenings and weekends, and the practice advises patients needing an emergency appointment to call directly. The clinic is located just off Leeds Road in Wakefield, with access from Doncaster, Barnsley and Leeds.
