OTM Apprenticeships: workplace training from Level 2 to Level 7

OTM Apprenticeships is a training provider that delivers apprenticeship programmes designed to upskill existing staff and develop new talent in the workplace. Its catalogue spans entry-level roles through to senior leadership, with courses grouped by occupational area and mapped to specific apprenticeship standards identified by their ST reference codes.

The provider positions its offer around flexible staff training and professional development, with programmes built for people already working in a role as well as for those taking a first career step.

Child development and early years programmes

The early years and education pathway covers several levels and career stages:

• Specialist Teaching Assistant, Level 5 (ST1414), with specialist skills in SEND and inclusion.

Adult care qualifications

In adult social care, OTM Apprenticeships offers a progression from frontline support to team leadership: Adult Care Worker at Level 2 (ST0005), Lead Adult Care Worker at Level 3 (ST0006) and Leader in Adult Care at Level 5 (ST0008). A separate Safeguarding Support Officer programme at Level 3 (ST1030) trains staff to recognise risks, respond to concerns and protect vulnerable individuals.

Data, improvement and digital skills

The data and improvement strand includes Data Technician at Level 3 (ST0795), Data Analyst at Level 4 (ST0118), Business Analyst at Level 4 (ST0117), Improvement Specialist at Level 5 (ST0555) and Artificial Intelligence at Level 4 (ST1512), the latter centred on automation, workflow improvement and digital tools. The Improvement Specialist programme is presented as training to lead change, analyse performance and deliver measurable results.

Business, people and customer service

Under business and organisational skills, the provider lists Multi-Channel Marketer at Level 3 (ST1031), covering digital marketing, social media, SEO, email marketing and analytics; HR Support at Level 3 (ST0239); People Professional at Level 5 (ST0238); and Procurement and Supply Chain Practitioner at Level 4 (ST0313), with sourcing, supplier management and commercial decision-making. Administrative and customer-facing routes include Customer Service Practitioner at Level 2 (ST0072), Business Administrator at Level 3 (ST0070) and Customer Service Specialist at Level 3 (ST0071).

For management roles, the catalogue adds Operations Manager at Level 5 (ST0385) and Senior Leader at Level 7 (ST0480), the latter aimed at people already in senior leadership positions.

Ofsted recognition and employer-facing support

The provider states that it has been praised by Ofsted for the quality of its training and learner support, citing strong progression outcomes and employer satisfaction. It also describes tailoring programmes to business goals and helping employers make the most of government funding to train staff at reduced cost.

On its own site, OTM Apprenticeships reported that 64% of all its learners had achieved their apprenticeship standard and that 73% of employers report apprenticeships increasing business productivity.
