Wired Campers: camper van electrics and off-grid power kits

Wired Campers is a British retailer and specialist focused on the electrical systems of camper vans and self-build conversions. Its catalogue is organised around the components needed to generate, store, distribute and monitor power on board, from split-charge and DC-DC charging through to solar, mains hook-up and 12V distribution. The company presents itself as a camper van electrical specialist and sells both individual parts and pre-assembled kits.

Charging kits for leisure batteries

A central part of the range is battery charging. The shop lists voltage-sensitive relay (VSR) kits, DC-DC charging kits and combined 12V and 240V mains hook-up kits, including complete camper van kits that bundle charging and distribution. Examples in the catalogue include a 12V DC-DC and 240V mains hook-up complete kit, a Victron Orion XS 12/12 50A DC-DC charger kit offered in 1M, 3M, 5M and 10M versions, and a Victron Energy 30A Orion DC-DC and 240V mains hook-up complete kit. A DIY self-build 240V double-pole mains hook-up kit and a Victron Energy 30A DC/DC high-current 12V off-grid kit complete this group.

Solar generation and Victron Energy equipment

Solar is covered through rigid fixed panels, semi-flexible panels, MPPT controllers, mounting hardware and complete solar panel kits. The catalogue includes Victron Energy BlueSolar monocrystalline panels in 150W and 190W versions, SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers with Bluetooth in 100/30, 150/35 and 150/45 ratings, and a 100W semi-flexible black fibreglass ETFE-coated panel with a rear hidden junction box. Victron Energy forms a dedicated section of the store, with Orion DC-DC chargers, Phoenix inverters, MultiPlus inverter chargers, Cerbo and Touch GX units, IP22 and IP65 mains battery chargers, Lynx components, SmartShunts, BatteryProtect devices and dongles and accessories.

Mains components, lighting and fittings

On the 240V side, Wired Campers lists inverter chargers, 230V mains inverters, RCDs, MCBs and mains consumer units, 240V mains cable, and 16A hook-ups and mains accessories. Lighting includes LED ceiling lights in recess and surface-mount versions, plinth lights, spotlights, switches and lighting accessories, plus a Mensa chrome LED spotlight with USB-A charging port and dimmer.
