Car Communications Ltd: in-car audio, multimedia and vehicle security

Car Communications Ltd is a UK-based supplier of in-car audio and car security parts. Its catalogue covers OEM retrofit products, Bluetooth and iPod/iPhone integration, car stereos, reversing cameras and tracking devices, alongside a broad range of fitting accessories. The company presents itself as the UK's No.1 supplier of reversing cameras and rear parking sensors, a claim that reflects its own positioning rather than an independent ranking.

Reversing cameras and parking aids

Reversing cameras form one of the largest areas of the catalogue. The range includes complete reversing camera kits, cameras integrated into boot handles, brake lights and registration plate surrounds, flush-fit and bolt-on models, OEM and emblem cameras, and separate monitors and screens. Kits are organised by vehicle brand, with dedicated listings for Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, Becker, Bentley, BMW, Citroen, Fiat, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot, Renault, Toyota, Vauxhall and Volkswagen, plus universal kits and options for campervans and motorhomes.

Parking and reversing sensors are offered under several brands: Cobra Park Master, Laserline Park Master, MotorMax and Steelmate. The catalogue also includes an emergency vehicle detector.

Car stereos, multimedia and smartphone integration

The audio and multimedia section covers single-DIN and double-DIN car stereos, models with navigation, CD players, mechless units, DAB digital radio and Bluetooth, as well as stereos designed for campervans and motorhomes. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available both as complete solutions and as dedicated stereo categories. CD/DVD players and changers, video screens and monitors, and DAB digital integration solutions and antennas complete this area.

For hands-free communication, the company stocks Bluetooth car kits with and without installation, including vehicle-specific kits for Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ford, Land Rover, Mercedes, Peugeot, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Vauxhall and Volkswagen, plus plug-and-play kits and fixed car phones.

Phone cradles and mounting solutions

A substantial part of the catalogue is devoted to car phone cradles and holders. Brodit holders are listed for a long series of devices, including Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod models, Samsung Galaxy handsets and tablets, HTC, Sony, BlackBerry, LG and Nokia phones. Bury System 8 and System 9 cradles are also offered, with System 9 holders for Android, Apple iPhone, BlackBerry, HTC, Nokia and Samsung devices, alongside universal charging cradles and spare parts for Bury and Parrot car kits.

Fitting accessories, speakers and sound boosters

To support installation, Car Communications supplies car stereo fitting kits, 1-DIN and 2-DIN fascia adapters, steering wheel control adapters, ISO harnesses, AM/FM/GPS and DAB antennas, mounting solutions, and USB and AUX adapters. The range also includes car speakers, model-specific speakers, car amplifiers and satellite navigation systems. SoundBoosters are available as universal kits, vehicle-specific kits and a universal sound booster without generator.

Security, tracking and commercial vehicle equipment

Under vehicle security and tracking, the company lists protection products and tracking devices. For commercial vehicles, it offers accident witness cameras from SmartWitness, Snooper, Thinkware and Axion, driver assistance and monitoring systems, vehicle and fleet management tracking, parking sensors, Bluetooth hands-free phones for trucks, HGV navigation, and voltage droppers and converters.
