Discount Pram Centre: prams and baby equipment across South Wales

Discount Pram Centre is a retailer of prams, strollers, car seats and nursery furniture operating four showrooms in South Wales. The company presents itself as "the pram experts" and describes its offer as a range of top-name brands at discount prices, with more than 50 pram bundles on display across its showrooms. Its head office is at Jack Baker Retail Park in Nelson, Treharris.

Brands and product categories

The catalogue is organised around the main stages of early childhood equipment. Prams and pushchairs sit alongside strollers, car seats, cots and cribs, and rockers, swings and chairs, plus a general accessories section.

• Cots and baskets: cots, cribs and baskets, together with rockers, swings and chairs.

Services attached to a pram purchase

Several services are presented as part of the buying process rather than as separate products. The company states that it aims to match the manufacturers' warranty on its prams and that buyers receive a complimentary six-month pram service. Car seat fitting is offered free of charge, although appointments are required and are only available Monday to Friday. A free 4D scan is also given with pram packages, described by the company as a thank-you for shopping with it.

Payment is handled through a plan the company describes as hassle-free, and Klarna is listed among the payment options covered by its policies. The site also includes a call-back request form for customers seeking a price, and an appointment booking option for showroom visits.

The company reports four showrooms across South Wales, open seven days a week with free on-site parking. Three are identified with their own contact details: Nelson, Cardiff and Cross Hands.
