White Magic Travels

White Magic Travels: flights, packages and cruises from the UK

White Magic Travels is a UK travel agency that sells air tickets, holiday packages and cruises, positioning itself around discounted fares. Its catalogue is organised around four main blocks: flights, holiday packages, cruises and cabs, complemented by a corporate travel section and a quote request form.

The agency presents itself as a travel expert offering a comprehensive range of travel services to major destinations worldwide, and builds its offer around three ideas it spells out on its site: transport arrangements, personalisation of the trip and hotel selection.

Flight booking by cabin class

The flight section is divided by cabin: economy, premium economy, business class and first class. The search form works with departure and return dates, passenger numbers broken down into adults, children and infants, and a class selector covering the same four categories.

On the UK side, the origin list includes London Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, London City and Southend, as well as the "London All Airports" option, plus Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol, Newcastle, Belfast, Cardiff, Aberdeen, Doncaster, East Midlands, Bournemouth, Exeter, Liverpool, Inverness, Cambridge, Teesside, Glasgow Prestwick, Southampton and Humberside.

The destination list is extensive and covers, among others, Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, the Far East, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East, New Zealand, South Africa, South America and the United States, with individual airports named for each region.

Featured fares shown on the site

The site listed a set of promotional fares on selected routes departing from London. At the time of writing this profile, the prices shown were:

• London to Orlando, from £525
• London to Accra, from £546
• London to Lagos, from £616
• London to New York, from £495
• London to Toronto, from £614
• London to Delhi, from £514
• London to Manila, from £565
• London to Durban, from £525
• London to Kingston, from £722

These are catalogue prices subject to change and tied to the routes and conditions of each fare.

Holiday packages and destination guides

The packages section groups destinations by type: city breaks, beach and resort stays, and longer multi-destination trips. The published list includes the Bahamas (Grand Bahama), Barbados, Dubai, Egypt, Greece, Bali and Goa in Indonesia, Ireland (Kerry), Mauritius, the Maldives, Auckland in New Zealand, Ibiza in Spain, Sri Lanka, Phuket in Thailand, Antalya in Turkey, and Las Vegas and Orlando in the United States.

The site also publishes destination features. The Orlando page describes the city as a theme park destination with a range of accommodation, from themed hotels inside Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort to all-suite hotels, luxury resorts and private homes with pools. The India page highlights the Golden Triangle with Delhi and Jaipur, the Taj Mahal, Varanasi on the Ganges and camel rides in the deserts of Rajasthan.

Cruise partners and other services

In the cruise section, the agency works with Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Carnival, Celebrity and MSC. It also offers a cab service and a corporate travel line aimed at business clients.

The agency describes its approach in three areas: transport (business or first class flights, scenic train journeys and overnight cruise ships), personalisation (free time built into every trip, with optional excursions that can be selected and in many cases prepaid) and accommodation (hotels chosen for the quality of rooms, service and food relative to price). It also refers to local guides who accompany travellers and help them make the most of their free time.

Quote requests and payment

Bookings are channelled through a quote request form and a phone line attended by travel experts. The site also has a payment section for customers who need to settle a booking.
