Rees's Treats

Rees's Treats, a sweet shop and candy webstore in Tonypandy

Rees's Treats operates from a shop at 129 Dunraven Street in Tonypandy and runs an online store alongside it. Its range is built around confectionery: jar sweets, pick & mix, American candy, chocolate, fudge and drinks, with chocolate bars and sodas listed among the product categories. The shop describes its selection as large and presents its prices as favourable.

Product categories on the webstore

The catalogue is organised into six groups that structure both the physical and the online offer:

• Chocolate Bars
• Drinks / Soda
• Jar Sweets
• Pick & Mix
• Fudge
• American Candy

Beyond confectionery, the shop lists gum, cereals and snacks as part of its assortment. The site's best-seller list at the time of writing included Flying Saucers at £0.03, Fruit Salad, Black Jacks, Lossindant, Midget Gems, Rhubarb and Custard, Sweet Peanuts, Chocolate Limes and Cherry Lips, most of them at £1.00. The recently added section showed Calypso Strawberry Lemonade at £3.00, a Crunchie Bar at £0.65 and an Aero Peppermint Bar at £0.65.

Pick & mix, ice cream and personalised trays

In-store customers can choose from the confectionery selection, from 18 flavours of ice cream, or assemble their own pick & mix box. The shop also prepares personalised trays combining any of its items, arranged by phone.

Local delivery and collection

Alongside the online store, Rees's Treats delivers sweets, cakes, ice cream and treat trays to local customers on the same day, and orders can also be collected from the shop. The treat boxes draw on favourites such as pick & mix, ice creams and handmade cakes, and can be ordered in advance or requested for special occasions.

Hampers and gifts

The business assembles customised hampers, sweet packs and gift boxes, which it regularly prepares for Valentine's Day, Easter and birthdays. These can be planned ahead for collection or delivery on a chosen date.
