Photo Cutouts

Photo Cutouts: bespoke photo boards for brands, charities and events

Photo Cutouts is a UK large format print specialist that designs and produces themed and bespoke photo boards. Its catalogue covers face-in-the-hole boards, photo walls, photo stand-ins, selfie frames and folding photo boards, alongside giant greetings cards and giant or lifesize jigsaw puzzles. The company states that its main client base consists of event companies, advertising agencies, leisure hire businesses, schools and tourist attractions.

Custom cutouts and interactive formats

The custom cutout range is organised around several product families. Custom photo boards can be ordered online or commissioned as a bespoke design, and the company says its team of artists and designers can create a board for a brand, charity or event. The range also includes folding photo boards, promotional cutouts, photo stand-ins, photo walls and selfie boards.

A separate line of wet sponge throwing boards is offered, with catalogue examples such as the Castle & Stocks board, the Bullseye board and the Lion Tamer board. These are presented as interactive targets rather than conventional photo boards.

Themed boards by season and occasion

Photo Cutouts groups a large part of its catalogue into themed collections. The available themes include National Seaside, Easter, Christmas, Halloween, Circus, Wedding and Street Art, as well as a National Self Portrait Gallery. The site lists 14 Christmas photo cutouts, five Halloween photo cutouts, three Easter products and three Circus products, among other collections.

Mega Cards: giant greetings and birthday cards

Under the Mega Cards line, the company sells lifesize greetings cards in five sizes up to 6ft tall. The range covers birthday cards, Mother's Day photo collage cards and general photo collage cards. Photo Cutouts states that no other company makes online-order greetings cards as big as these, a claim attributed to the company's own presentation. Catalogue examples include a 17 Photo Collage Mega Card and a 20 Photo Collage Mega Card, both priced from £50.00.

Giant and lifesize jigsaw puzzles

Giant & Lifesize Jigsaws are presented as a product line for visitor engagement and team building events. The company lists specific applications for visitor attractions, museums, special occasions, and team building and employee engagement. Customers can design their own giant or lifesize jigsaw puzzle through the site. The jigsaw range is flagged as new for 2024.

Branding props and charity items

Beyond photo boards, the catalogue includes branding props such as table tennis items, speech bubbles, charity cheques and a charity toolkit. These are aimed at promotional and fundraising uses, and the charity cheque and toolkit lines are grouped as their own collections.

How orders are handled

The company describes a five-step process. Customers choose and purchase a product online or contact Photo Cutouts for a bespoke design; the design team then gets in touch about customisation requests; the finished board is delivered either by the company's own staff or by courier; the customer sets up the board for photographs; and finally customers are invited to leave a review and share photos of the product in use.

Hire is available on selected items, according to the site. The catalogue shows 13 products in its Most Popular collection, with individual face-in-the-hole boards priced at £275.00 or £325.00 and wet sponge throwing boards at £325.00 or £425.00 at the time of writing this profile.

Customer feedback and company details

The site includes a client testimonial section and a newsletter sign-up. One testimonial attributed to Embassy Magazine thanks the company for its work on CutOutWalls. Photo Cutouts operates from 11 Napier Way in Thetford, Norfolk, and its online store lists prices in GBP for the United Kingdom.
