Soccer Star Coaching

Soccer Star Coaching: weekly football lessons and holiday camps for children

Soccer Star Coaching is a family-run coaching company that works with children through structured weekly football lessons, multi-day camps during school holidays and fundraising events aimed at primary schools. The business was formed by Justin Tyrrell in 2006 and is now run by him together with his wife Sinead, alongside family life raising three young children.

The company describes its sessions as a fun, supportive and inclusive environment for children of all skill levels, from those just starting out to those looking to take their game further. The stated aims are to improve fundamental football skills, teamwork and sportsmanship, and to help children build confidence and make new friends through the game.

Coaching staff drawn from the playing side

Most of the coaching staff are players Justin Tyrrell has coached over the last 17 years. According to the company, these coaches pass on the knowledge and care they gained as players to the weekly sessions and holiday camps.

What the programme includes

• Weekly football lessons: consistent, structured training intended to develop technique, fitness and understanding of the game.
• Holiday camps: multi-day camps during school breaks combining drills, games and activities that keep children active and entertained.
• School fundraisers: free football fundraising events for schools and junior football clubs, organised for primary schools facing funding difficulties and designed to raise money while promoting sport.
