Mortimers Fuels: kiln-dried firewood with nationwide delivery

Mortimers Fuels is a UK-based supplier of kiln-dried logs, kindling and firelighters. The company sells its products through an online store and delivers nationwide, with free next working day delivery on every order. Its range is built around Woodsure Ready to Burn certified firewood, aimed at domestic heating and fire lighting.

Product range: logs, kindling and firelighters

The catalogue is organised into several collections. The logs line includes kiln-dried ash, oak, birch and alder logs, as well as kiln-dried pizza logs and a hardwood logs option. These are available in different formats: woven bags and hand-stacked crates. The crates are offered in ash, oak and birch varieties. For fire starting, the company sells wood wool firelighters and kiln-dried kindling. The site also lists bundles and a rewards programme with ways to earn and redeem points.

Certification and moisture content

Mortimers Fuels states that its logs are kiln-dried to below 18% moisture and are Ready to Burn certified. According to the company, this results in an effortless light, deep and lasting heat, and a clean burn with less smoke, hiss and blackened glass compared with lesser wood. It describes its hardwood as dense and premium, with longer burns and less tending required.

Ordering and delivery

The company presents its ordering process as straightforward, with a clean checkout. It highlights that there is no seasoning to wait for and that the wood is ready to use on arrival. Delivery is free the following working day, tracked and brought to the door. The site positions this speed and convenience as a central part of its service.
