About 10Dental
10Dental, a dental practice on the edge of Southport town centre
10Dental describes itself as a modern, state-of-the-art practice equipped with current technology. It sits just outside the town centre of Southport, in Merseyside, and presents itself as a practice built around preventive care: helping patients understand how to keep the mouth free of decay and gum disease rather than limiting treatment to repair. The practice states that most treatments carry a 20% discount for its registered patients.
General and preventive dentistry
The treatment list covers general dentistry, preventive dentistry, a dental hygiene service and gum health. Appointments are organised in two separate channels, one for patients on the 10Dental plan and one for non-plan patients, and the practice also advertises an emergency dentist service and 0% finance.
Cosmetic treatments and smile makeovers
Under the cosmetic heading the practice lists teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, cosmetic bridges, cosmetic crowns, composite bonding and facial aesthetics. Smile makeovers combine whitening, implants, invisible braces, veneers and crown and bridgework. Orthodontics is offered through Six Month Smiles, and the team also treats children, provides dental sedation and addresses snoring.
Implants and restorative work
Dental implants are presented as the solution to missing teeth. The principal dentist's research background is linked in the practice's own account to the management and restoration of complex implant cases, and one of the clinicians focuses on implantology, from single teeth to full-arch rehabilitations and immediate same-day implants, with experience across several major implant systems.

The practice publishes the qualifications and General Dental Council (GDC) registration numbers of its clinicians.

The hygiene team comprises Gemma Langford (RDH, DipDH, GDC 103586), who qualified from the Liverpool School of Dental Hygiene in 2006 and works full time providing non-surgical periodontal therapy and maintenance; Clare Brown (RDH, DipDT, GDC 194157), a dual-qualified hygienist and therapist who studied at Sheffield University, qualified in 2010 and joined the practice in January 2011; and Miss Johanna Moore (BSc OHS, DipDH, DipDT), who qualified from Manchester University in 2014 and returned to the practice after previously working there as a dental nurse.
The 10Dental Care Plan
The practice runs its own membership scheme, the 10 Dental Care Plans, presented as a way to make treatment affordable without compromising care. The stated aims of its continuing-care approach include fewer fillings, less decay, less likelihood of toothache, more attractive teeth, more choice and reduced costs, with the goal of helping patients keep their own teeth for life.
