Becketts Plumbing & Heating

Becketts Plumbing & Heating: gas, heating and air conditioning work in Southampton and Hampshire

Becketts Plumbing & Heating is a family-run business working across Southampton and Hampshire on air conditioning, boilers, bathrooms and general plumbing. Its founder, Sam Beckett, states that he set the company up after more than 16 years of hands-on experience in gas, heating and air conditioning. The firm presents itself as an approved installer and lists Bosch, Worcester Bosch, Refcom F-Gas and Daikin credentials among its accreditations.

The company describes a three-stage working method: an appointment is booked online or by phone, a survey is arranged at a time that suits the customer, and a clear fixed quote is issued with no hidden extras before any work begins. Once approved, the team carries out the job, keeps the client informed and leaves the property clean and tidy.

Air conditioning installation and servicing

Air conditioning is one of the company's two main specialisms. It carries out Refcom-registered installation across Southampton and Hampshire, positioning the systems for both summer cooling and winter warmth, and also offers servicing intended to keep equipment efficient, clean and reliable. The site identifies Daikin as a certified brand and Refcom F-Gas registration as the regulatory basis for handling refrigerants.

Boilers: installation, servicing and repairs

On the heating side, Becketts installs Gas Safe boilers in the same coverage area, with finance available and Worcester Bosch warranties of up to 12 years. The catalogue indicates boiler installations starting from £1,800. Annual Gas Safe boiler servicing and fast repairs are offered alongside, including a 24/7 emergency callout service. The company is listed as a Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer.

Bathrooms and general plumbing

Beyond heating and cooling, the firm handles complete bathroom installations, described as running from design through to the finished room under a single team. It also covers general plumbing work such as leaks, taps, radiators, toilets and outside taps.

Customer feedback and reputation

The site displays a rating of 170+ Google reviews. The published testimonials describe installations of air conditioning units and replacement boilers, annual servicing, a gas leak resolved the same day, a central heating fault that other engineers had not solved, and plumbing repairs in Chandler's Ford. Recurring themes in those accounts are punctuality, tidiness, communication and fixed pricing; one reviewer notes that the company was not the cheapest option but considered the work worth the cost.

Coverage and approach

Work is concentrated on Southampton and the surrounding county of Hampshire. The company presents itself as family-run and emphasises a no-pressure process, clear fixed quotes and a tidy finish. Its stated credentials — Gas Safe, Refcom F-Gas, Bosch and Worcester Bosch accreditation and Daikin certification — are the technical markers it uses to distinguish its installation and servicing work.
