Solihull Carpets: carpet and LVT supply with employed fitters in the West Midlands

Solihull Carpets is an independent, family-run business that has been supplying and fitting carpets and LVT flooring in and around the West Midlands for over 20 years. It operates two showrooms, one in Shirley (Solihull) and one in Studley, and serves both domestic and commercial customers. The company states that its directors are hands-on in the day-to-day running of the business.

Product ranges

The showrooms stock carpets, vinyls, LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tiles) and hardwood flooring. The carpet brands named include Cormar, Brockway, Penthouse and Abingdon, among others. For LVT, the ranges include Karndean, Tarkett, Amtico and Moduleo. The Shirley showroom is described as having thousands of samples and hundreds of carpets on display. The Studley showroom carries all the brands available in Shirley plus Amtico LVT and a newly announced bed showroom.

Fitting and installation

Solihull Carpets employs its own fitting team rather than using sub-contractors. The company states that this allows it to deliver value and quality on every project, from enquiry to installation. It also advertises fast turnaround times, with carpets supplied and fitted within 14 days.

Commercial flooring division

The company has a commercial division called Solihull Contract Flooring, which offers a selection of ranges from flooring manufacturers for business customers. The website includes case studies such as McCarthy & Stone and Harborne Court.

Price beat promise

Solihull Carpets guarantees to beat any like-for-like quote for both the cost of the carpet and the cost of fitting. Unlike some other suppliers, the price beat promise also includes online prices, according to the company.

Showrooms and location

The Solihull showroom is in Shirley, just off Junction 4 of the M42. The Studley showroom is about 10 minutes from Junction 3 of the M42. Both showrooms allow customers to browse at their own pace, with staff available to advise on products based on requirements and budgets.
