Live Laugh Love

Live Laugh Love: shabby chic, vintage and nautical homeware from Smallfield

Live Laugh Love is a family-run British retailer of home accessories, furniture and gifts, trading as LIVE LAUGH LOVE LIMITED from a base at Flight Path Farm in Smallfield, Surrey. The company states it was founded in 2005 and describes its stock as spanning French provincial through to British retro, organised around three broad decorative registers: shabby chic, country and nautical.

The range is presented as a curated collection rather than a single product line, and the catalogue is structured so that shoppers can browse either by style or by the room they are furnishing.

Browsing by room

The site's main navigation divides the range by domestic space, with dedicated sections for the bathroom, bedroom, hallway, kitchen, living room, office and utility room. Each section groups the relevant pieces: mirrors, shelving, hooks, furniture, vases and planters, cushions, wall decor and photo frames, tea light and candle holders, door stops and door mats, glassware and storage. Several room sections also carry a specific nautical sub-category, so the coastal theme runs through the whole house rather than being confined to one area.

The shabby chic and country collections

Under its shabby chic heading the retailer lists pictures, plaques and signs, rugs and mats, vases and jugs, clocks, lamps, faux succulents, light pulls, cushions, hanging hearts, mirrors, tea lights, wall hooks, photo frames, door stops and decorative bottles. A separate country kitchen strand covers kitchen accessories, hooks, glassware, dining furniture and storage in country style. The overall effect is a deliberately aged, painted and distressed aesthetic applied to functional household objects.

Nautical and coastal decor

The coastal range is unusually detailed for a general homeware shop. It includes driftwood decor, boat decor, shells and shell-themed pieces, nautical bathroom fittings, light pulls, tea light and candle holders, cushions, clocks, hooks, LED lighting, lamps, mirrors, shelf sitters, signs and wall decor. These items are merchandised both as a standalone coastal collection and as sub-sections within the room-by-room navigation.

Furniture, garden and one-off pieces

Furniture has its own top-level section. The company highlights vintage furniture as "one-off and unique pieces hand restored by our in house experts", which distinguishes this part of the offer from the mass-produced accessories. A garden section covers bird feeders, outdoor mirrors, planting accessories, lighting, decorative accessories and garden wall decor.

Gifts, weddings and seasonal ranges

Gifting is treated as a major category, with gift cards and groupings for her, for him, for the home, for family and friends, and a dedicated nautical gifts selection. The retailer also positions itself for occasions: a vintage-styled wedding offer, wedding gifts and decor, and a Christmas department covering decorations and figures, lights, candles and fragrance, doors, walls and florals, table and kitchen pieces, advent calendars and a Christmas sale. Halloween also appears among the seasonal links. A brochure can be requested through the site.

How the shop presents its service

The store advertises free delivery on orders over £75 and lists a range of secure payment options at checkout, including major card schemes, PayPal, Shop Pay, Google Pay, Apple Pay and several European methods such as iDEAL, Bancontact and Wero. Prices are shown in pounds sterling, with a currency selector offering a number of European countries. The site displays a Trustpilot rating described as consistently "Excellent", alongside individual product review counts. A customer gallery and testimonials page are also maintained.

Product pricing in the catalogue at the time of writing included, for example, green and black distressed metal and glass lanterns reduced from £167.90 to £68.95, an oval vintage-style bird bath at £14.95 and a rustic vintage wall mirror with triple planter at £58.95.
