Extreme Hardware

Extreme Hardware: arcade cabinet kits and components from Sittingbourne

Extreme Hardware Limited operates an online shop from Sittingbourne, Kent, built around home arcade construction. Its catalogue combines flat-pack cabinet kits with the parts needed to complete them, alongside a smaller selection of PC components and software. The range is presented as a single store covering both the cabinet shell and the electronics and controls that go inside it.

Flat-pack cabinet kits by format

The cabinet range is organised by cabinet shape rather than by game title. The shop lists 3/4 size cabinet kits, bartop cabinet kits, cocktail cabinet kits, control panel cabinet kits, pinball cabinet kits, sit down cabinet kits, upright cabinet kits and wall mounted cabinet kits. Each format is a separate product line, so the choice is essentially about the footprint and style of the finished machine.

Arcade artwork and finishing parts

Alongside the cabinets, the store sells arcade artwork, including a dedicated bartop artwork line, and T-molding in black and chrome 3/4" versions. These are the visible finishing elements that dress a completed cabinet, and they are listed as individual items rather than bundled with the kits.

Controls, wiring and light guns

The arcade parts section covers the components that make a cabinet playable:

• Joysticks, push buttons and classic arcade buttons
• Button blanks and T-molding
• Keyboard encoders and control boards
• Trackballs and wiring
• Audio components
• Light guns, including the Sinden Lightgun and a Sinden Lightgun with recoil
• Tools and accessories

The Sinden light gun is given prominence on the homepage as "latest lightgun technology", and the two Sinden models are priced at £99.99 and £149.99 in the catalogue at the time of writing this profile.

PC components and software

A PC components section is limited in the material available, listing thermal compound, with Thermal Grizzly among the stocked brands. The software side is broader: an antivirus and security category sits alongside learner driver training software. Bitdefender Total Security is offered in several licence configurations, including 5 devices for 1 year, 10 devices for 1 year and 10 devices for 2 years, with prices shown in GBP. The homepage promotes Bitdefender with the claim of more than 500 million users worldwide.

Brands stocked

The shop groups its suppliers under a brands index that includes Avast, AVG, Baolian, Bitdefender, Driving Test Success, ESET, Extreme Hardware, F-Secure, G'AIM'E, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, McAfee, Norton, Sinden, SUZOHAPP, Thermal Grizzly, Trend Micro, Ultimarc and Xinmotek. The mix reflects the two halves of the business: arcade hardware specialists such as Sinden, SUZOHAPP and Ultimarc on one side, and consumer security software publishers on the other.
