EcoDen Wooden House Signs

Handmade wooden house signs from a Killamarsh workshop

EcoDen produces personalised wooden house signs, handcrafted from larch wood and finished for outdoor use. The workshop operates from Killamarsh, Sheffield, and the company presents itself as "the UK's number 1 maker" of house signs, a claim that reflects its own positioning rather than an independently verified ranking.

The signs are made to order and the company states that each one is crafted and delivered to the customer's door in 4–7 days, with free delivery included on all signs.

Timber, treatments and weatherproofing

The material base is larch, described as naturally durable and resistant to the elements. EcoDen sources its wood locally from a sawmill in Sheffield, a choice the company links to supporting local businesses and to sustainable supply.

Each sign is treated with Osmo UV Protection Oil, intended to limit fading and cracking, and detailed with Weather-shield paint for a finish the company describes as vibrant and long-lasting. EcoDen backs its signs with a two-year weatherproof guarantee.

Sign types in the catalogue

• House signs
• Number-only house signs
• Home and room signs
• Home bar signs
• Sports and novelty signs

The range is presented as personalised, with a choice of finishes and colours across the different sign lines.

Where the signs can be seen

EcoDen signs are displayed at Dunston Hall Estate & Garden Centre in Chesterfield, which the company describes as the retail location where its handmade, weatherproof designs are showcased.
