Shaftesbury Glass Limited: glass and glazing work from Wincombe Business Park

Shaftesbury Glass Limited is a family-run glass and glazing company based at 24f Wincombe Business Park in Shaftesbury. The firm states more than 15 years of experience across the glass and glazing industry and supplies and fits its products in the surrounding areas of Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and Hampshire.

Windows, doors and glazed units

The core of the offer is the supply and installation of double and triple glazed units, UPVC windows and doors, and composite doors. The company also carries out window hinge repairs and works with toughened glass.

Mirrors, splashbacks and bathroom glazing

Beyond windows and doors, the catalogue covers bespoke mirrors, mirrors and splashbacks, and shower screens. These items sit alongside the structural glazing work and are presented as part of the same supply-and-fit service.

Traditional and heritage glazing

A distinct part of the business addresses older and period properties. Shaftesbury Glass Limited lists traditional glazing, leadlight repairs, heritage putties and acrylic putties, as well as antique glass and mirrors. Secondary glazing is offered as a separate line, aimed at improving existing windows rather than replacing them.

Balustrades, picture framing and specialist glass

The company also supplies and fits balustrading and provides picture frame glass. Among the more unusual items in its range is glass for wood burners.

Guarantees and installer registration

Windows and doors are supplied with a 10-year warranty. To protect that warranty if the company were to cease trading, the firm offers an Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG) under which its insurer would honour the guarantee. Shaftesbury Glass Limited also presents itself as a FENSA registered installer; according to the information on its site, work within FENSA's remit receives a FENSA Certificate confirming compliance with building regulations and registration with the local council.

Contact and weekend calls

The company invites customers to request a free quote through its website or to visit the Wincombe Business Park address. It notes that calls are still taken over the weekend.
