About Canine Karma
Canine Karma: dog behaviour, training and care in London and the Home Counties
Canine Karma is a dog care business founded and owned by Oliver Seymour, who describes himself as a dog behaviour expert. The company offers dog training, dog boarding at Canine Karma Resorts, doggy daycare, dog grooming, dog rescue and a dog park. Its services are aimed at owners in London and the Home Counties, although Oliver Seymour states his mission is to help owners and dogs across the UK. The business was awarded UK’s Kennel of the Year 2025, according to its own announcement.
Oliver Seymour's background and approach
Oliver Seymour's interest in dog behaviour began after watching a video about Cesar Millan, known as the Dog Whisperer. He later worked at a doggy daycare centre in Hertfordshire, starting as a dog handler responsible for twenty to thirty dogs daily, and eventually became Head Behaviour Expert for the company. After nearly two years, he left to start Canine Karma. His approach is based on Cesar Millan's methods, and he has attended Millan's courses: The Fundamentals of Dog Behaviour and Training 1 in Miami in November 2016, and The Fundamentals of Dog Behaviour and Training 2 in Santa Clarita in November 2017. He also shadowed trainer Todd Langston in Florida in April 2017 and assisted backstage at Cesar Millan's European tour show Once Upon A Dog 2017 at Hammersmith Apollo.
Dog training
Canine Karma's training sessions are designed to connect owners with their dogs and to teach skills that remain after the trainer leaves. The training enquiries contact is separate from general bookings.
Boarding at Canine Karma Resorts
The company's dog boarding facilities, marketed as Canine Karma Resorts, cater for all types of dogs. Stays are personalised to the needs of the owner and, according to the company, more importantly the dog. Boarding is licensed by Three Rivers Council under reference TRDC/AAL/71591, as stated on the website.
Daycare and other services
Canine Karma operates dog daycare facilities intended to fulfil dogs mentally and physically. The daycare is licensed by St Albans District Council under reference LN/202200017. The business also lists dog grooming, dog rescue and a dog park among its services, and has introduced a Puppy Prep Programme and an app. Grooming and dog park enquiries have their own contact details.
Client feedback and public profile
The website includes testimonials from dog owners. One client with over 40 years of experience with dogs mentions Oliver's advice on a recent issue; another describes their dog returning home exhausted after time with Oli; a third thanks him for improvements in a dog named Simba; and a fourth praises his knowledge and ability to identify problems. These are individual accounts and not a general rating. The site also notes that Oliver Seymour and Kevyn present live streaming on social media channels.
