Itemdrop

Itemdrop, a family-run games shop in Seaton, Devon

Itemdrop is a family-run small business that began from a bedroom in 2010 with £100 and, according to its own account, no clear idea of what it was building. Fifteen years later it operates as a retailer of video games, tabletop games and pop-culture merchandise, selling both through its website and from a store in Seaton, Devon. The company describes itself as family-run and highlights free UK shipping and a reward points scheme for customers.

Video games across current and classic consoles

The catalogue is organised by platform and spans several generations of hardware. On the Nintendo side it lists Switch 2, Switch, 3DS and Wii U titles; for PlayStation it covers PS5, PS4 and PS3; and for Xbox it includes Series X, Xbox One and Xbox 360. A separate hardware and accessories section groups consoles, controllers, charging products, headsets, cables, protection and mouse mats. A retro area covers Atari, Evercade and NEOGEO, and the shop also stocks preowned games.

New releases, pre-orders and best sellers are presented together on the site. Among the pre-order listings shown at the time of writing were The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Danganronpa 2x2 for PS5 and Switch, STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT, Final Fantasy Resonance, Metaphor: ReFantazio for Switch 2 and Hollow Knight: Silksong in its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Prices displayed ranged from £11.99 for a Christmas card game to £59.99 for a Switch 2 title, and some items were marked out of stock.

Board games, role-playing games and wargames

Beyond video games, Itemdrop carries a broad tabletop range. Board and card games are split into board games, card games, strategy games, party games, family games and children's games. The role-playing section lists systems including Alien RPG, Call of Cthulhu, Cosmere RPG, Dark Souls RPG, Dungeons & Dragons and Fallout RPG. Wargamers are served with Warhammer alongside Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms, Star Wars: Legion and Halo: Flashpoint. The shop also stocks jigsaw and other puzzles, plus tools and paint from Citadel and The Army Painter.

Merchandise, drinkware and homeware

The merchandise side covers keyrings, wallets, notebooks, pins and badges, coins and gift sets. Drinkware includes mugs, bottles, glassware, coasters and bottle openers, while homeware extends to wall art, lights, blankets and towels, and gaming chairs. Clothing and apparel take in hats, caps and beanies, socks and other items, alongside cosplay, bags such as backpacks, messenger bags and shopping bags, and a plush, figures and statues section that includes Plushes, Figures, First 4 Figures statues and amiibo.
