Occasions Marquees: family-run marquee hire from Salisbury

Occasions Marquees is a family-run marquee hire business based at Unit 29 Rockhaven Business Centre in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Founded in 1995, the company has grown from a small family operation into a supplier of marquees for weddings, corporate functions, parties and other events across the UK, with what it describes as a strong presence in Wiltshire and the surrounding counties.

The company states that it has hosted more than 200 weddings and has over 25 years of experience. Its own account of its history notes that it expanded into furniture hire and lighting solutions in 2005 and was recognised as a trusted supplier for large-scale corporate events in 2015.

Marquee services for different occasions

Occasions Marquees structures its hire offer around several event types, each with its own requirements:

• Wedding marquees: elegant marquees tailored for weddings, with options for dining, dance floors and décor.
• Corporate events: professional marquees for conferences, product launches and client entertainment.
• Party marquees: marquees for birthdays, anniversaries and private parties.
• Emergency hire: rapid deployment of marquees for urgent needs such as cover, shelters or temporary spaces.

Additional services and specialist marquees

Beyond standard marquee hire, the company offers a set of complementary services intended to complete an event. These include furniture hire, described as modern, strong and aesthetic furniture suited to the occasion, and the organisation of external caterers, bands, DJs and toilets under the label External Deals.

It also provides specialist marquees for memorial services, described as smart, contemporary structures for funerals and memorials, and forensic hire, consisting of shielded, windowless marquees designed for complete privacy.

Setup, weather protection and site conditions

According to the company, its team handles full delivery, setup and removal of the marquee. The marquees are designed to withstand UK weather conditions, including rain and wind. Flooring, lining, lighting and heating solutions can be supplied to keep guests comfortable in any season. The company also states that it can install marquees on grass, gravel or other surfaces, ensuring a stable and safe setup regardless of the terrain.

Occasions Marquees provides free, no-obligation quotes tailored to the size, style and duration of each hire. The company advertises free site visits and states that it responds to enquiries submitted through its website within 48 hours. For urgent enquiries, it directs customers to call 01722 441605.
