Kerkyra Energy: renewable energy installation in Rotherham and Sheffield

Kerkyra Energy is a renewable energy installer working with both domestic and commercial customers in the Rotherham and Sheffield area. The company states that it has spent more than twenty years designing, installing and maintaining sustainable energy systems, and it presents its work as a way to reduce energy costs and carbon footprints. Its offer is built around individual or hybrid combinations of solar panel installation, heat pumps and EV charging points, with electrical installation as a further service.

The firm describes its approach as tailored to each property, arguing that every home and business has its own circumstances and needs. It says it can oversee a project from design through installation and maintenance, and it refers to lifetime support for the service chosen.

Solar PV for homes and commercial sites

On the residential side, Kerkyra Energy offers a turn-key solar PV design and installation service covering both new-build properties and retrofit panels on existing homes. The company notes that solar panels can be fitted in different forms, including glass, roof tiles, slates and membranes.

For businesses, it positions itself as a specialist in commercial solar panel systems across a range of commercial sectors. The stated objectives of these installations are cutting costs, reducing carbon footprint and securing future energy supply, using what the company describes as proven high-yielding panels. The benefits it lists for commercial clients include cost savings, income generation from solar, financial stability, lower-risk investment, energy security and a smaller carbon footprint.

Heat pumps and EV charging

Kerkyra Energy installs heat pumps, which it describes as transferring ambient heat from the air or ground into the home to moderate temperature throughout the year. The company states that it partners exclusively with what it calls the industry-leading heat pump manufacturers in the country.

Its EV charging service covers charging points for homes and businesses. The company presents the option of charging overnight at home on cheaper electricity rates, or providing charging for employees and customers at a workplace. It offers a range of charging point options and discusses choices such as tethered or untethered units with the customer.

Electrical installation

Beyond renewable generation, the team designs and implements electrical systems for specific purposes. This covers integrating new energy equipment in a home as well as larger-scale remodelling of existing electrics, with the company stating that its engineers oversee the entire process.

Track record and positioning

Kerkyra Energy frames its two decades of activity around helping households and businesses move away from volatile fuel prices and rising living costs towards a self-sufficient supply. It says it has helped hundreds of people, families and businesses, and it presents its work as part of a broader effort to put renewable energy at the centre of the UK's energy future. The site also refers to government subsidies as one reason sustainable energy has become cheaper to install.

The company's own presentation describes it as a leading renewable energy company; this is a self-description rather than an independently verified ranking.
