PowerBee Ltd: solar lighting and garden water features from East Sussex

PowerBee Ltd is an independent, family-run British business based at Johns Cross Farm in Mountfield, Robertsbridge, East Sussex. The company specialises in solar lighting and also sells a selected range of fountains, water features and solar chargers. Its catalogue is sold online, with free UK delivery, and the company states that it designs some of its own lighting products through an in-house design team.

From a family venture in 2008 to a solar lighting specialist

The business was formed in 2008 by a group of family members and close friends with a shared interest in environmental sustainability. It presents itself as one of the fastest-growing solar lighting specialists in the UK and as a market leader in energy-efficient lighting. Its stated core principle is that all PowerBee own-brand solar lighting products must perform reliably for hours in UK winter conditions, and the range is described as designed to work year-round in the UK climate.

Solar lights for gardens, walls, fences and security

The catalogue is organised around outdoor lighting. Solar options include garden lights, wall lights, spotlights, lanterns, post lights, decking lights, ceiling lights, path lights, stake lights, fence lights, festoon lights and fairy lights, as well as solar panel lighting and solar ground lights. For security, the store lists solar security lights, solar CCTV cameras and mains-powered floodlights. A battery-operated section covers rechargeable and wireless spotlights, wall lights, fairy lights and festoon lights, alongside workshop and garage lighting, solar shed lights and camping products.

Fountains, pumps and pond equipment

Beyond lighting, PowerBee stocks solar water features and garden fountains, including floating solar fountains, solar cascade and waterfall pumps, solar fountain and garden water feature pumps, solar pond filters, solar pond pumps, solar water pumps and solar air pumps. The pond supplies section adds pond pumps and variable-flow and all-in-one pond pumps.

Trade, housing association and public sector supply

In addition to individual online customers, the company supplies trade customers, housing associations and government departments, positioning its products as a way for organisations to reduce energy use and carbon footprint. It states that years of research and supplier development have allowed it to offer a range of solar products designed specifically for the UK and European markets.

Ordering, delivery and after-sales support

Purchases are made through the online store, which the company describes as safe and secure, with fast order processing and low delivery costs. Orders are covered by free 24-hour UK delivery and a 30-day returns guarantee, and the company refers to fully insured delivery and secure payment processing. Customer support is presented as including honest product advice and reliable after-sales service, available by online chat, message or telephone.
