Recommerce IT: refurbished business technology with a sustainability focus

Recommerce IT is an online retailer specialising in refurbished IT products. The company states that its aim is to help current and future generations by offering a way to save money while reducing electronic waste. Its catalogue is organised around laptops, desktops, monitors and other equipment, with a strong presence of business-grade machines from Dell, HP and Lenovo.

Laptops by brand and use case

The laptop section is grouped by manufacturer and by intended use. Dell models include the Latitude, Precision, XPS, Vostro and Inspiron families; HP is represented by EliteBook, ProBook and ZBook series; Lenovo and Medion also appear. Shoppers can browse by use case, with categories for everyday use, education and learning, and work and performance, as well as a selection of laptops under £199. A configurator called Build Your Own Laptop is also available.

Listings specify the condition grade of each unit. The site defines GOOD as good second-user condition with light scuffs, FAIR as fair condition with some small dents or scratches, and EXCELLENT as excellent second-user condition. Examples in the catalogue include a Dell Latitude 7410 with a 10th-generation Intel Core i5, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB NVMe SSD and a 14-inch touchscreen at £299.99, and a Lenovo ThinkPad E14 with a 13th-generation Intel Core i7-1355U, 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD at £549.99.

Desktops, monitors and peripherals

Desktop computers are also sorted by brand, including Dell, HP, Lenovo, Intel, Viglen and Zoostorm. The range covers small form factor, micro and tower designs, such as a Lenovo ThinkCentre M70s SFF with a 10th-generation Intel Core i5-10500, 16 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD at £299.99, or a Dell OptiPlex 7040 Micro with a 6th-generation Core i7, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD at £129.99.

Beyond computers, the store lists monitors, mobile phones, tablets and accessories. Accessory categories include cables, docking stations, carry cases, gaming cases, keyboards and mice, power supplies, memory, printers, projectors, speakers and headphones, storage devices, servers and switches, and software. Monitors in the catalogue include models such as the Lenovo ThinkVision T24v-10 and the Dell UltraSharp U2422HE, while the projector selection features an Epson EB-1780W listed with 43 hours of use.

Warranty, delivery and sustainability

Recommerce IT states that all products come with a free one-year warranty. It also offers free tracked delivery on orders over £50 and describes its products as sustainable. The site indicates that all computers are Wi-Fi ready for wireless internet connectivity. A promotion advertised at the time of writing offers 10% off when spending over £100.

Product condition and pricing

Each item is labelled with a condition grade and a description of cosmetic wear, and prices are shown both including and excluding VAT. The catalogue mixes current and previous-generation Intel processors, with memory configurations ranging from 8 GB to 24 GB and storage typically based on NVMe SSDs. Operating systems listed are predominantly Windows 11 Pro, with some Windows 10 Pro units.
