Taps Empire

Taps Empire: an online bathroom and kitchen retailer built on taps

Taps Empire is a British online retailer specialising in bathroom and kitchen products, with taps as its founding category. The company states that it was established in 2010 as an independent supplier of bathroom and kitchen taps and has since expanded into a broader bathroom offer, describing itself as one of the leading bathroom retailers in the UK while remaining an independent business.

Its catalogue is organised around four main areas: bathrooms, showers, kitchens and heating, with a plumbing section covering spare parts and wastes. The company reports stocking well over 20,000 bathroom products from leading brands, aimed at matching different styles and budgets.

Bathroom ranges: taps, sanitaryware and furniture

The bathroom section covers the core fittings of a washroom. Tap options include single-lever, wall-mounted and multi-hole basin mixers, alongside bath shower mixers, bath fillers and wall bath shower mixers. Basins are grouped into wall, pedestal and inset types, while baths include standard models, shower baths and bath screens.

Toilets are sold as close-coupled packs, with separate toilet seats and flush plates. The furniture line comprises wall-hung and floor-standing vanity units and mirrors, and the accessories range includes toilet roll holders, towel rings and towel rails. A dedicated assisted living section lists Doc M packs and grab bars.

Showers, enclosures and trays

The shower range is divided into valves, sets, enclosures, trays and accessories. Valves include bar, twin concealed and exposed types, and these are also offered as complete bar, concealed, exposed and digital shower sets. Enclosures cover quadrant, sliding, pivot and hinged doors, while trays are available in quadrant, rectangular and square shapes.

Shower accessories include fixed shower heads, shower arms and slide rail kits. The section also lists electric showers, shower channels, shower panels and shower pumps.

Kitchen taps, sinks and water filtration

For kitchens, the retailer sells mono sink mixers, two-hole and multi-hole sink mixers, wall sink mixers and separate sink taps, together with kitchen sinks, sink wastes, waste disposal units and replacement filters. Featured lines in this area include Abode sink mixer taps and Clearwater and Abode kitchen sinks. Kitchen accessories and replacement water filter cartridges complete the category.

Heating and plumbing spares

The heating section covers radiators in chrome, white and anthracite finishes, miscellaneous radiators, heated towel rails, radiator valves and heating elements. Under plumbing, the store lists spare parts for Geberit, Bristan, Ideal Standard and Armitage Shanks, plus basin, bath and shower wastes, valve fixing kits and thermostatic mixing valves.

Among the newer additions shown in the catalogue were Siamp spare components, including dual flush and bottom inlet valve packs, a contactless infra-red sensor flush valve pack and a delayed-action fill valve.

Taps Empire presents itself as an authorised retailer for Grohe, Ideal Standard, Armitage Shanks, Mira, Aqualisa, Roca and Bristan, among other brands. It states that it holds genuine UK stock backed by the full manufacturer guarantee, and that prices include VAT and are monitored regularly.
