About Lewis Masonic

Lewis Masonic: Masonic publishing and supplies from Cambridge

Lewis Masonic is a long-established firm founded in the nineteenth century that specialises in the publication of Masonic texts. Originally called A Lewis, the company concentrated exclusively on ritual books covering Masonic Craft degrees and Masonic side orders. Over the years the name changed from 'A Lewis' to 'Lewis Masonic', and while ritual books remain a priority, the catalogue now covers all areas of Masonic publishing.

The company operates a retail website with a broad stock of books, regalia and lodge furnishings, and also offers selected titles as ebooks and digital downloads through a separate section of its site.

Ritual books and official publications

The catalogue gives prominence to ritual works, including the Emulation Ritual in pocket and large-print editions, Taylor's Working Ritual in pocket and library editions, and individual degree rituals such as the Emulation First Degree Only Ritual and Emulation Inner Working. It also lists question cards and the Book of Constitutions published by the United Grand Lodge of England.

Beyond Craft ritual, the range extends to Royal Arch and Mark, Ark & Beyond titles, as well as constitutions and yearbooks, handbooks, talks and speeches, and material for memory and ritual learning.

History, esotericism and specialist Masonic literature

Lewis Masonic publishes historical and esoteric works, including titles under the Quatuor Coronati imprint, Ars Quatuor Coronatorum, QC Merchandise and QC Publications, Heredom, and books on Rosicrucianism. The history section covers lodge and provincial histories, and the esoteric section addresses subjects such as Rosicrucianism.

Among the titles featured on the site are The Full Spectrum of Freemasonry, presented as the book of the month, which brings together six previously published essays and lectures on Victorian Freemasonry and the Orders beyond the Craft. Other listed works include Freemasonry in 60 Minutes, The 18th Century Genesis of our 'Peculiar System', The Royal Arch Unearthed, The Atholl Legacy, The Master Builders, Masonry Redissected: The Scientific Origins of Modern Freemasonry, The Genesis of American Freemasonry and the graphic novel Beyond The Temple Gates.

Regalia and lodge supplies

Under The Masonic Emporium, the company stocks regalia for a wide range of Masonic bodies and degrees. The catalogue lists Craft Regalia, Royal Arch Regalia, Mark Regalia, Royal Ark Mariner Regalia, Royal and Select Masters Regalia, Rose Croix Regalia, Knights Templar Regalia, Red Cross of Constantine Regalia, The Order of the Secret Monitor Regalia, Royal Order of Scotland Regalia, Allied Masonic Degree Regalia, Scarlet Cord Regalia and Knights Masons Regalia, alongside Irish Constitution Regalia, Middlesex Regalia and London Regalia.

Complementary items include ties, cases, pin badges, gloves and lodge furnishings. The site also offers cards and prints, Bibles, gifts for Masons and non-Masons, and official Metropolitan Grand Lodge items.
