GJW Titmuss Ltd

GJW Titmuss Ltd: pet food and supplies for Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire

GJW Titmuss Ltd operates as a pet food supplier with an online store and a click-and-collect service, addressing customers in Herts, Beds and Bucks. Its catalogue is organised by animal type rather than by brand alone, covering companion animals, birds, equestrian needs, pond and aquarium fish, small pets and farm livestock, alongside a home and garden section.

Dog and cat ranges

The dog section groups food and treats, prescription diets, coats, toys, beds, bowls and stands, storage, collars, muzzles and leads, grooming and training products, travel equipment such as crates, carriers, ramps, doors and gates, and health items including flea treatments, wormers, dental and joint products, medicines and calming products. Cat lines follow a similar structure: food and treats, bulk packs, prescription food, beds and scratching posts, wormers, flea and joint products, calming and hygiene items, litter and trays, grooming, bowls, toys, collars, carriers and flaps.

Among the products listed, the site showed James Wellbeloved Lamb & Rice Adult Dog Food in 15 kg at £49.99, described as a maintenance diet for adult dogs, and Iams Adult Cat Food with Savoury Roast Chicken in 10 kg at £40.99, formulated for cats from one year old with a DentalCare system intended to help reduce tartar build-up.

Wild birds, pet birds and poultry

Bird supplies are split between wild bird products, racing pigeons, pet birds and poultry. The wild bird range includes food, sunflower hearts, peanuts, feeders and nesting boxes; racing pigeon lines cover food, floor dressing and supplements. For pet birds the catalogue lists grits and minerals, food, cages, feeders and drinkers, floor dressing, toys and treats. Poultry keepers are served with food, drinkers, bedding, feeders, coops, treats, egg boxes, health products and incubators and lamps. A 20 kg bag of sunflower hearts was priced at £26.99.

Equestrian supplies

The horse section is the most extensive in the catalogue. Feed is divided into balancers, a leisure range, conditioning, stud, performance, racing, veteran and speciality ranges, plus fibre and haylage. Supplements cover breeding and youngstock, calming and behaviour, coat and skin, digestion, electrolytes and rehydration, everyday essentials, fly control, herbal products, hooves, immunity and blood, joints and soundness, performance, respiratory, veteran and vitamins and minerals. There are also horse treats, wormers and parasite control, laminitis and Cushings products, hoof care, fly protection and mud fever treatments, stable licks and riding footwear. Two examples shown were TopSpec Lite Feed Balancer at £23.48, aimed at horses and ponies needing weight control, and Equerry Condition Mash in 20 kg at £16.50, a quick-soaking mash for horses that need to gain weight and condition.

Fish, small pets and farm stock

For ponds and aquariums the store lists koi and pond foods in flake, pellet and stick form, sinking pellets, treatments, variety, winter and holiday foods, plus tropical fish food, goldfish food, accessories, healthcare and treats. A Titmuss Winter Wheatgerm Fish Pellets 10 kg pack was offered at £28.20, intended for use when water temperature falls to around 10°C and below. A separate fishing bait section covers pellets, particles, hempseed, tiger nuts, maize, pulses, groundbait, liquids, attractants, additives and boilies.

Small pet lines serve rabbits, chinchillas, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters and rats, with food, treats, cages and hutches, bowls, carriers, drinkers, hay and forage, harnesses, healthcare, toys, grooming and bedding. Farm supplies include straight feed for cattle, goats, lambs, pigs, sheep and camelids, plus parasite control; Verm-X Herbal Pellets for sheep and goats in a 1.5 kg tub were listed at £37.99. The home and garden section adds rat and mouse poison, household pest and vermin control, water softener salt, household fuel, wheelbarrows, compost and fertiliser, garden pest control, grass seed and plant food, with Q Salt Blocks (2 x 4 kg) at £5.10.

Ordering and collection

The website distinguishes between pallet-quantity delivery orders and click-and-collect orders, and warns that switching between the two modes clears the basket. An order hotline is published for telephone purchases, and the site provides customer login and registration for online checkout and order tracking. Product pages carry customer ratings, such as 179 reviews for the James Wellbeloved dog food and 27 for the TopSpec balancer.
