Upshift: sim racing rigs and hardware from a sim racer-run store

Upshift is a UK-based retailer and manufacturer focused on sim racing hardware. The company presents itself as run by sim racing enthusiasts with decades of experience, and its catalogue combines its own designed rigs, seats and accessories with third-party racing electronics. The store positions its own rigs as offering the best value for a given budget, a claim that comes from the company's own presentation.

Own-designed sim rigs

The core of the Upshift range is its aluminium profile cockpits, offered in two main lines:

• R-PRO Black Edition: an 80x40 aluminium profile sim rig, sold from £329.99 and configurable with or without a seat and monitor mount.
• R-MAX Black Edition: a heavier 160x40 aluminium profile sim rig, from £549.99, with the same configuration options.

Both rigs can be ordered with a choice of seats and with either an integrated or freestanding single monitor stand. The R-PRO and R-MAX each have their own accessory lines.

Rig accessories and monitor stands

Upshift lists a set of add-ons shared across its rig families: the R-INTEGRATED Single Monitor Stand, the R-Single Monitor Stand, an R-Shifter Mount, an R-Shifter Arm, an R-Mouse Shelf, caster wheels, adjustable sim feet and a sim rig mat with RGB lighting. The freestanding single monitor stand is specified for displays up to 49 inches and priced at £179.99, while the integrated stand is listed at £119.99.

Seats and feedback hardware

The seat catalogue covers reclining and bucket options: the RS1 Recline Seat, JDM Recline Seat, GTS Bucket Seat and GTR Bucket Seat, alongside Sparco gaming seats including the Grid Q, EVO QRT, CIRCUIT QRT and GP Sim Racing Seat. ButtKicker Gamer PLUS and Gamer PRO bass shakers also appear in the range, with the Gamer PRO listed at £469.99.

The wheelbase selection includes the Forte Direct Drive Wheelbase at 18Nm and the Invicta Direct Drive Wheelbase at 27Nm, the latter priced at £1,199.99, together with wheelbase mounts and accessories and Invicta and Forte bundles. The site also publishes a gallery of customer setups intended to illustrate how buyers have assembled their rigs.
