Wall Art

Wall Art: personalised wall stickers and prints from a Devon studio

Wall Art is a small design team working from a studio in Ottery St Mary, Devon. The company was set up in 2007 with the aim of producing personalised products that customers can adapt to their own taste. Its first designs drew on the founders' own families and grew into a collection of nursery tree wall stickers, from which the wider range has expanded.

The team, led by Matt, has a background in photography, design and print. That experience is applied to designing, manufacturing and producing the items sold through the company's website. The catalogue is presented as continually evolving, with new designs added over time.

Tree wall stickers and height charts

Tree wall stickers form the core of the range. The designs vary from cute to sophisticated and contemporary, and the company suggests them for children's nurseries and bedrooms as well as bathrooms and lounges. Examples in the catalogue include the Large Woodland Tree Wall Sticker at £120.00, the Personalised Named Tree with Butterflies at £110.00, the Curvy Tree with Birds at £105.00, the Hanging Branches and Birds at £110.00, the Single Tree with Birds Flying at £105.00, the 5 Trees with Birds at £120.00, the Nursery Tree with 2 Hedgehogs at £120.00, the Wind Swept Tree with Birds at £105.00, the 3 Trees with Bird and Birdhouses at £115.00 and the Split Tree Trunk and Ladybirds at £110.00. The site lists further tree designs beyond these.

Height charts are designed and produced in-house and described as exclusive to Wall Art, with the company citing its own children as the inspiration. The range also includes wall quotes intended to add motivational or decorative text to a room.

Zooki wooden pendant lights

Wall Art distributes Zooki pendant lights, a collection of wooden fixtures made to order. The company describes them as blending modern aesthetics with the rustic appeal of wood and a Scandinavian-inspired style. Each model carries a name and a number, among them the Model 26 "HELIOS" (listed as sold out), Model 1 "FREYA" (sold out), Model 16 "SKADI" at £240.00, Model 3 "FORSETI" (sold out), Model 33 "HYPNOS" at £194.00, Model 15 "ODIN" (sold out), Model 19 "ATEN" (sold out), Model 2 "MIELIKKI" at £172.00, Model 21 "VOR" (sold out) and Model 12 "SERAPIS" at £307.00. The site indicates that further models are available.

Prints, posters and party activities

The print side of the business covers personalised prints, including personalised family prints, and fine art prints. Giclée and fine art prints are reproduced on archival 300gsm 100% cotton rag fine art paper using light-fast archival inks, and are presented as standalone pieces for art lovers.

Wall Art also sells Michael Valenti's collection of contemporary cycling prints, described as unique to the company in the UK. For parties and functions, the Colour Me In Party Posters are designed to be coloured in by guests: the poster is laid on a flat surface and felt-tip pens are supplied so attendees can fill in the design. Posters come in different sizes and with different numbers of characters. At the time of writing, the Colour Me In Party Posters were the featured product of the month.

Customers unsure about colours for a tree wall sticker can order a sample pack allowing them to choose up to four colours.

Materials and production

Wall stickers are crafted to order from matt-finish vinyl, which the company describes as premium quality. The company states that all its products are produced using materials chosen for the job. The designs are intended as focal points for interiors and as decorative, contemporary additions to homes and offices.

Delivery and customer feedback

Shipping is free on orders over £50 to the UK mainland. The site displays a customer rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 163 reviews, attributed to Judge.me, and states that the company has been trading since 2007.
