Keengardener Ltd

Keengardener: an independent online garden retailer for the UK and Europe

Keengardener Ltd is an independent, family-run online garden retailer. Its stated aim is to supply gardening, barbecue and outdoor living requirements across the UK and Europe, positioning itself on service and product quality rather than on physical stores. The business operates through a single e-commerce catalogue organised by product family and by brand.

Barbecues, outdoor heating and garden furniture

The barbecue and outdoor heating section covers gas and hot charcoal barbecues, barbecue accessories and shelters, chimineas and firepits, and patio heaters. The catalogue lists branded ranges including Beefeater, Bull, Buschbeck, Cadac, Campingaz, Char-Broil, Grandhall, Kamado Joe, Landmann, Napoleon and Primo.

Garden furniture is grouped into sets, tables, benches, swing seats and gliders, armchairs and chairs, plus furniture accessories and protective covers. Named furniture brands include Hartman, LG Outdoor and Forest Garden.

Growing, planting and garden care

Under gardening and growing, the retailer stocks fruit cages, garden tools, garden waste products, greenhouse heaters, growing media, planting and seeds, propagators and potting tables. Quick-link categories point to electric and gas greenhouse heaters, electric propagators, forks, rakes, spades, general weedkiller, greenhouse staging, lawn fertilisers, loppers, planters, planting tunnels, secateurs and Wolf Garten tools.

A separate garden covers section is organised by the item protected, with covers for barbecues, chimineas and firepits, patio heaters, dining and bistro sets, tables, benches, chairs, sunbeds, sofas, swing seats, parasols, washing lines, bicycles, mowers and cube sets, alongside a clearance covers line.

Buildings, landscaping and structures

The buildings and landscape range includes verandas, awnings, canopies and pergolas, carports, decking, garden arbours and arches, fence panels and gates, gazebos, greenhouses, paving and aggregates, playhouses, sheds and summerhouses. Quick links separate metal and timber fencing, Palram, aluminium and timber greenhouses, Forest Garden, Keter, Palram and polycarbonate sheds, timber sheds, and Palram patio covers and canopies alongside aluminium/polycarbonate and timber gazebos.

Greenhouses are presented as covering glass, styrene and polycarbonate options. Examples in the catalogue include the Palram Mythos 6x6 silver polycarbonate greenhouse, the Palram-Canopia Hybrid 6x4 in green, the Sunbubble Standard 2.8m x 2m, and several Mercia wooden models, among them a 6' x 4' budget shiplap greenhouse, a 6' x 3' tall wall greenhouse, a 6' x 8' shiplap greenhouse with shed and a 4' x 6' Lumberjack premium apex greenhouse in glass.

Sheds and summerhouses are represented by the Shire range, described in the catalogue as combining British manufacturing with durable materials. Listed examples include the Shire 8x6 pent garden shed, the 4x2 shiplap garden store, the 8x6 Durham garden shed, the 7x7 Buckingham and Chatsworth summerhouses, the 12x10 Miami summerhouse, the 8x8 Blenheim shiplap summerhouse, several overlap value sheds, and the 12x8 Cali and 10x8 Melrose home garden offices.

Ordering, delivery and customer service

The site advertises free delivery with exclusions, secure checkout and a customer service team reachable by phone and email. It states that more than 7,000 satisfied customers have left reviews. Promotional mechanics visible at the time of writing included a 5% voucher code on almost everything with brand exclusions (Palram, Buschbeck, Bosch, Halls, Forest Garden, Gablemere, Shire, Kelkay and Outback), a free gift on orders over £100 while stocks last, a summer sale with over 2,500 in-stock products discounted, and a Black Friday extension offering up to 79% off RRP on in-stock lines.

The same notices recorded operational caveats: orders placed during the Christmas period would be processed afterwards, with the warehouse and customer service department closed from 22 December to 1 January and limited email support and despatches on 30 December. Significant delivery delays with Yodel were also flagged, with the customer service team unable to provide parcel updates and customers directed to their tracking.
