About SnapRevise
SnapRevise: print and digital revision for GCSE and A-Level
SnapRevise is a British revision service built around a single subscription that combines physical study materials sent by post with an online learning platform. Its catalogue is organised by qualification, specification and subject, and covers GCSE, A-Level, IGCSE and IAL. The company presents the model as a "Dual Boost": studying on paper and practising on screen within the same plan.
The service is aimed at secondary-school students preparing public examinations, as well as at the parents and teachers who support them. SnapRevise states that its resources are written by subject specialists, reviewed by experienced educators and aligned with exam board specifications, and that they are updated when specifications change, with new subjects added each year.
Printed resources included in the subscription
The print side of the plan consists of guides posted to the customer's address. Subscribers on the Dual Boost plan choose any five items from a catalogue the company describes as more than 130 titles, mixing subjects and resource types as needed. The printed range includes:
- Summary notes that condense entire subjects into key points for screen-free revision.
- Flashcards designed for solo or group recall practice.
- Text guides with analysis and quote banks for prescribed novels, plays and poems.
- Physical study planners for organising revision.
According to the site, the printed items are intended to be annotated and highlighted without the distractions of a screen.
The online platform
Digital access is unlimited for the duration of the subscription and works through a browser on laptop, tablet or phone, so an account can be continued across devices. The platform brings together several resource types:
- Video lessons covering every topic on the specification.
- Practice exam papers with real exam-style questions.
- Topic summaries distilling the essential content.
- eBook study guides organised topic by topic.
- An AI tutor available for on-demand questions.
- Interactive flashcards and quizzes to test recall and identify what to revise next.
The digital resources are designed to be used online only and cannot be downloaded or printed.
Plans and how the subscription works
SnapRevise structures access around three tiers. Core provides the core digital revision resources; Plus adds more advanced learning and exam-preparation tools; and Dual Boost combines the full digital experience with the printed resources. The subscription is not priced per subject: one plan gives access to all the subjects and resources included in that tier. Availability of subjects and exam boards varies by subject and resource type.
Subscriptions renew annually and run from 1 August to 31 July. Cancellation is possible at any time, with access continuing until the end of the current billing period. A 14-day cooling-off period applies after purchase; for Dual Boost plans where printed resources have already been received, those items must be returned unused and in saleable condition before a refund is issued. After payment, Dual Boost subscribers redeem credits to select the five printed titles they want.
The team behind the resources
The site lists the specialists involved in producing the material, combining teaching experience with academic backgrounds. Among them are Max (Maths, more than 15 years teaching and a Master's in Teaching from Oxford), Martin (Science, more than 10 years teaching and a Master's in Teaching from Oxford), Sophia (English, Master's in Teaching from Cambridge) and Lauren, head of publishing, with more than 10 years' experience and a Master's in Publishing from the University of Melbourne. The team also includes contributors with degrees from UCL, Sheffield, Cambridge and Oxford in fields such as medicine, geography, psychology, neuroscience and economics.
Reach and positioning
SnapRevise describes itself as the UK's only print and digital revision subscription. The company cites more than 5 million students and parents using its resources, more than 100 schools trusting it and a rating of 4.8 from over 500 Google reviews. These figures are the company's own presentation of its reach.
