Party Power PA

Party Power PA: sound, lighting and stage hire from Nottingham

Party Power PA is a Nottingham hire business supplying sound reinforcement, lighting and staging for events. The company states it was founded in 2005 and has since equipped more than 2,000 private, public and corporate events across the Midlands and beyond. Its catalogue covers PA speaker systems, DJ and live band equipment, disco and stage lighting, atmospheric effects, projection and both indoor and outdoor stages.

Equipment and brands used in the hire stock

The hire inventory is built around British-designed Void Acoustics and Logic Systems concert speaker systems, driven by Full Fat Audio, Chevin and MC2 amplifiers. For DJ work the company lists professional Pioneer decks and mixers, and it also supplies Sennheiser wireless microphone systems. The range extends to sound processing, microphones and loudspeakers, presented by the company as industry-standard equipment selected for audio quality.

PA and live band sound

PA speaker systems are available for rental, including high-specification digital live band mixing PA. These systems are installed by qualified sound engineers and riggers, and the company pairs them with its mobile outdoor festival stage and indoor stage platforms. Live band packages are offered as a distinct line, aimed at groups needing a complete mixing and amplification setup.

DJ packages and party equipment

DJ and disco gear is grouped into Party Packages designed for DJ-led celebrations, with inputs for iPod, laptop or CD playback, a cabled microphone and a light show. The packages are pitched at different venue sizes and budgets and are described as suitable for wedding parties, birthdays, anniversaries, Halloween events and family or workplace Christmas celebrations. The site listed package pricing starting at £150, lighting and effects hire from £10, pro DJ deck and mixer hire from £20, PA speakers from £40, live band packages from £300, event extras from £35 and Optikinetics projection hire from £55.

Lighting, effects and projection

Beyond general disco and stage lighting, the company hires stage lighting with sound-activated atmospheric effects, specialist gobo and image projection, seasonal lighting packages and Optikinetics equipment. Stage truss structures and decking are also part of the hire catalogue.

Staging through a sister company

Indoor and outdoor event stages became a specialism that complements the sound and lighting side of the business. For staging the company works with its sister firm Audio Mobile Stage Hire in Nottingham, which provides a weatherproof mobile outdoor music and festival stage. The stage service is presented for corporate events, music events, festivals and general events, with Nottingham, Derby, Lincoln, Leicester and the wider Midlands named as coverage areas.

Additional services and delivery

Alongside equipment hire, Party Power PA offers event recording to CD or MP3, wedding and event DJs and bands, and corporate event AV and trade show audio-visual support. Delivery, installation and collection at the chosen venue is charged at 50p per mile. The company states that equipment is PAT tested and that it holds £5 million public liability insurance, and that installations are carried out and sound-checked by a sound technician.
