Boards Direct

Boards Direct: whiteboards, noticeboards and display solutions for UK organisations

Boards Direct is a UK supplier specialising in writing boards, noticeboards and display products. The company positions boards as its core speciality rather than one line among many, and its catalogue spans drywipe and magnetic whiteboards, glass writing boards, chalkboards, rail systems, wall planners, projection boards, rollerboards and large whole-wall formats. Alongside these it stocks felt and cork noticeboards, fire-resistant noticeboards, lockable indoor and outdoor boards, letterboards and acoustic systems.

Its stated customer base covers schools and academies, universities, healthcare providers, offices, co-working and serviced offices, law firms, hotels and hospitality, places of worship and civic spaces, estate agents, construction site offices, gyms and leisure centres, charities, retail showrooms and veterinary practices. The site describes the range as selected for quality, style and everyday performance.

Bespoke boards and printed formats

Beyond standard catalogue sizes, Boards Direct offers custom-made boards to exact measurements and printed whiteboards, and invites customers to create a bespoke board. Personalised glass boards and printed formats sit within the writing board range, while the noticeboard side includes bespoke sizes in felt and cork with a choice of frame materials. Fire-rated boards are offered for locations where the company states the law requires them.

Trade accounts and volume purchasing

The company operates a trade and commercial channel aimed at businesses, schools and public sector organisations, combining volume pricing with what it describes as expert support. Credit accounts are available for councils and schools with 30-day payment terms. A separate trade enquiry route is signposted on the site, and a price match promise is advertised alongside free delivery in Great Britain on orders over £50.

Brands stocked

The catalogue brings together manufacturer ranges from the UK, continental Europe and Scandinavia. These include Spaceright, a UK maker of display products and early years furniture; Smit Visual, a Dutch manufacturer of whiteboards, chalkboards and glass boards; Millhouse early years furniture; Sigel glass boards and office accessories; Show-me drywipe boards and teaching tools; Rocada presentation products; Metalliform furniture; Metroplan, a UK manufacturer and supplier since 1973; Nobo visual communication products; Naga magnetic glass boards; KI furniture; Lintex glass writing boards and acoustic panels; Legamaster, part of edding; Casca architectural glass writing boards; Adboards display and presentation boards; and Abstracta acoustic furniture and panels. Boards Direct also sells its own range of whiteboards, noticeboards and presentation products.

School and early years furniture

In addition to boards, the company supplies classroom furniture: chairs, tables, dining furniture, trays and storage, and cloakroom furniture. An early years section covers sensory play, storage zones and room environments, active play and soft play, changing and sleeping equipment, play dens and soft furnishings, role play panels, play kitchens and shops, dressing up, sand and water play, and outdoor furniture and play. Arts and crafts, small world and construction sets, outdoor storage, outdoor kitchens, gardening and nature resources complete that area.

Office furniture and display equipment

The office range includes executive, operator, visitor, soft and posture seating, acoustic screens and pods, conference and boardroom tables, and room dividers. On the display side, the company lists snap frames, A-boards, digital displays, exhibition and retail display equipment, projector screens, posters and signage, touchscreens, touch tables and wall-mount brackets.

Customer feedback and sector focus

The site refers to independent customer reviews collected via Trustpilot and states that it supplies a selection of leading UK schools, universities, healthcare providers and businesses, without naming them in the material available. It also maintains a blog, an FAQ section and an "In The Press" area.
