World of Mowers: garden machinery and spares from Epperstone, Nottingham

World of Mowers operates from the Criftin Enterprise Centre at Unit 8, Oxton Road, Epperstone, on the north side of Nottingham, close to Woodborough, Calverton, Southwell and Oxton. The site has car parking and a showroom where it displays machinery including Mountfield lawnmowers, ride-on mowers, chainsaws, battery mowers and strimmers. The company describes itself as an all-round dealer and states that it has been selling machinery, spare parts and service since 1996, supplying, supporting, servicing and maintaining products for thousands of customers.

Lawnmowers, ride-ons and garden tractors

The catalogue is organised by machine type and brand. Lawnmowers are grouped into petrol, electric, battery (cordless), wireless robotic and battery robotic categories, with brands including Mountfield, Masport, Grillo, Stiga, ECHO and Sunseeker Elite. Ride-on mowers and garden tractor mowers cover Mountfield, Stiga, Snapper, Grillo and Iseki, while front cut mowers and decks are listed under Stiga and Grillo. Ride-on mower accessories are available for Mountfield, Stiga and SCH, and the site also has a section for used machinery and Indespension trailers.

Hedge cutters, brushcutters and garden care equipment

Hedge cutters are sold in petrol, electric and battery versions from ECHO, Mountfield and Stiga. Brushcutters and trimmers, including wheeled brush cutters and battery trimmers, come from Mountfield, Stiga, Maruyama, ECHO and Grillo. Under garden care equipment the dealer lists blowers and leaf vacuums (Stiga, SCH, Mountfield and ECHO), rotavators and tillers (Mountfield, Grillo and Stiga), sprayers and watering units (SCH and Stiga), and tree and shrub pruning tools. Chainsaws are offered in petrol and battery versions from Stiga, Maruyama and ECHO.

Spare parts, tyres and brand support

A significant part of the business is spare parts. World of Mowers states that it holds a large quantity of parts for Mountfield, Stiga, Lawnflite, Cub Cadet, Yardman, Tanaka, Victa, Rover, Agri-fab, Iseki, Lawnflite Pro, MTD, Briggs and Stratton engine parts, Echo, Grillo, Snapper and Masport. The site allows browsing by brand and model with assembly drawings. It also stocks tyres for ride-on mowers and trailers under the Kenda and Deli brands, plus tubes, and lists small industrial ATV and UTV spare parts.

Trade customers and part-exchange offer

The company welcomes trade customers and indicates that a discount is available for them. At the time of writing, the site advertises a part-exchange promotion: customers can trade in an old mower for cashback when purchasing any Stiga or Mountfield ride-on mower. The offer is presented as the dealer's "best offer ever".

Brands stocked

Beyond the core ranges, World of Mowers supplies brands including Stiga ride-on mowers, Stiga front cut mowers and Stiga walk-behind mowers, Masport mowers, Grillo garden machinery, Simplicity, Snapper and SCH garden products. Its commercial range of mowers and tractors includes the ISEKI brand. The showroom also stocks the full range of Echo products, including hedge cutters, leaf blowers, chainsaws and lawnmowers.

Stock situation

A blog notice dated 2 July 2022 referred to stock shortages affecting the business, citing Brexit, the pandemic and shortages of components needed for the manufacture of heavy goods and machinery. The company stated that it values its customers and tries to ensure the best possible shopping experience.
