Britannia Alan Cook: removals and storage across Norfolk and Suffolk

Britannia Alan Cook is a family-run removals and storage company that has operated since 1982, serving Norfolk and Suffolk. The company describes itself as a professional removals and storage provider covering expert packing, secure storage and local, national and international moves. It operates from four offices: Norwich, Loddon and Gorleston in Norfolk, and Lowestoft in Suffolk.

The business is a fully accredited member of the British Association of Removers (BAR) and states that it holds six quality awards. Its services undergo annual audits by the BAR, alongside regular internal audits. It is also a Living Wage Employer.

Removals for homes and businesses

The company offers household removals and business removals. For business clients it also provides trade assistance. Its removal services extend to specialised items: antiques and fine art removals, piano removals and disaster response. Packing services are available as part of the removals offering.

For moves beyond the UK, Britannia Alan Cook provides European removals and overseas removals, and it also offers currency transfers. The company states that it regularly has vehicles travelling to Spain, France and further afield, while noting that the average UK home removal is only 32 miles and that it knows East Anglia well.

Storage options

Storage is a distinct part of the business, with several formats: self-storage, crated storage and storage rooms. Customers can book storage online. The company also provides document shredding as a related service.

A new self-store facility in Wymondham was announced with an opening date of August 2026. The Wymondham facility is listed at Gateway 11 Business Park, 12 Penfold Drive, Wymondham NR18 0WZ.
