Hatchmere Caravan and Vehicle Storage

Indoor caravan storage in Delamere Forest, Cheshire

Hatchmere Caravan and Vehicle Storage operates an indoor storage facility in Delamere Forest, Cheshire, positioned between Chester, Northwich, Frodsham and Winsford. The site is described as secluded and not visible from the road, and access is possible from the M56 and M6 motorways as well as the A556, A49 and A51 roads. The company presents itself as a convenient option for owners in Chester, Northwich, Winsford, Tarporley, Runcorn, Kelsall and the rest of Cheshire.

How the storage buildings work

Vehicles are kept indoors behind electric gates and under CCTV surveillance, with security lighting and a single point of access. The buildings have concrete floors and are described as light proof, which the company says prevents fading of external and internal materials and avoids algae build-up on the outside. Two limits apply: the maximum height accepted is 2.75 metres, and twin-axle caravans cannot be stored.

Vehicles accepted

Beyond caravans, the facility stores other types of vehicles as long as they remain under the 2.75-metre height restriction. The categories named on the site are:

• Boats
• Motorcycles
• Jetskis
• Motorhomes and campervans
• Cars

Drop-off and collection

The handover process is designed so that customers do not need to park the unit themselves: the vehicle is left in a designated outdoor drop-off area and staff move it into the shed. On collection, the vehicle is placed outside ready to be hitched up. The company asks for 48 hours' notice before collecting a caravan or other vehicle.

Pricing

The site listed a rate of £90 per month for single-axle caravans. For boats, cars, campervans, motorbikes, jetskis and other vehicles, the company states that prices vary and are discussed individually.

Visits and security arrangements

Viewing is strictly by appointment only for security reasons, and the site indicates that it is open seven days a week from 8am to 8pm. The company also mentions a sister business, Hatchmere Farm Services, which provides a range of farm services.
