Una Mattress

Organic latex mattresses from Una Mattress

Una Mattress is a UK-focused online retailer of natural latex mattresses and bedding. Its range is built around organic latex foam layered inside a zipped cover of organic wool and cotton, a construction the company describes as allowing air and moisture to circulate while supporting the body's contours. The mattresses are presented as handcrafted from certified organic materials by the Organic Sleep Manufactory, a producer established in 1987.

The shop reports more than 11,400 customers and displays a 4.7-star rating in its own header. It sells directly through its website, with delivery and collection handled in compact courier-sized boxes.

Adjustable firmness and the mattress range

The defining feature of the Una mattress is adjustable firmness on each side. The organic latex layers — firmer, medium and softer — are unrolled into the cover in the order the buyer prefers, so each sleeper can set their own side within the same mattress. The catalogue is organised into four models:

• Una Deluxe Mattress, the top model, priced from £1,079.20 against a regular price of £1,349.00.
• Una Essential Mattress, from £879.20 (regular £1,099.00).
• Una Junior Mattress, from £503.20 (regular £629.00).
• Una Baby Mattress, from £271.20 (regular £339.00).

These prices and discounts reflect the catalogue at the time of writing this profile.

Bedding to complete the sleep setup

Beyond mattresses, the store offers a small bedding line intended to be paired with them. It includes a Natural Latex Foam Pillow from £99.00, which the site lists with a 4.41 out of 5 rating from 32 reviews; a Cotton Duvet from £219.00; and a Natural Latex Mattress Topper from £319.20, reduced from £399.00. The navigation also covers toppers, pillows and duvets as separate categories.

Trial, warranty and returns

Purchases come with a 100-night trial at home, after which the mattress can be collected and refunded in full if it does not suit. The company also states a 10-year warranty and free delivery and collection. Returns are arranged through the same courier-box system used for delivery.

Organic certifications

Una highlights two certifications for its materials. The GOLS certificate covers organic natural latex production, from the rubber plantation through to manufacture, and the company presents itself as holding one of the first such certificates worldwide. The GOTS certificate applies to organic textile production in more than 70 countries and covers the fabrics; the site states that compliance is checked regularly by the independent body Ecocert.
