Divan Factory Outlet

Divan Factory Outlet, an online bed retailer built around divan sets

Divan Factory Outlet is a UK-based online retailer specialising in divan beds and the components that go with them: bases, mattresses and headboards. The company describes itself as having started as a small family business eleven years ago and as having grown into an online brand for beds and sleep products. Its catalogue is organised around complete bed sets as well as individual parts, so a customer can buy a finished divan set or replace only the base, the mattress or the headboard.

The range is presented as hand-crafted in the UK, and the company states that products pass quality checks before shipping. A one-year manufacturer's warranty is offered on the products, and the site advertises discounts of up to 70% alongside periodic sitewide promotions.

Divan beds, storage options and bed sets

The core of the offer is the divan bed, available as a set or as a standalone base. Sets can include a headboard, and the catalogue lists specific configurations such as divan bed sets with headboards, ottoman storage bed sets, waterproof bed sets and sets supplied with a 20-inch headboard. Storage is a recurring theme: divan bases can be ordered with optional drawers, and the company also sells gas-lift ottoman divan storage beds that raise the mattress to expose a compartment underneath.

Beyond standard divans, the shop lists upholstered beds, guest beds and electric beds, the latter also available as an electric bed base. Bed bases are sold separately in divan, ottoman and electric versions, including divan bases supplied with a headboard.

Sizes, mattresses and headboards

Beds, bases, mattresses and headboards are all filterable by size, covering small single (2 ft 6 in), single (3 ft), small double (4 ft), double (4 ft 6 in), king (5 ft) and super king (6 ft). This structure lets a buyer match a base, a mattress and a headboard within the same measurement.

The mattress range is grouped by construction and by firmness. By type, the catalogue lists open coil sprung, pillow top, pocket sprung, latex and orthopaedic mattresses; by firmness, it separates soft to medium, medium, medium to firm and firm. Named models in the mattress section include the Orthopaedic Special Sprung, the Balmoral Orthopaedic Sprung, the Super Orthopaedic Firm Sprung and the W & S 1000 Pocket Sprung Pillow Top Reflex.

Headboards are sold as a category in their own right, in the same size bands, and are divided into floor-standing headboards, headboards with wooden legs and winged floor-standing headboards. Some bed frames in the upholstered range are advertised with a free 54-inch headboard.

Assembly, recycling and contract supply

Alongside the products, the company lists two services: an assembly service and a recycling service. It also runs a contracts line aimed at the hospitality sector, with hotel contract mattresses and hotel contract bed bases offered as separate categories. These are presented as distinct from the retail catalogue rather than as part of the standard bed range.

Delivery and customer feedback

Delivery is described as a two-man service to the room, with an estimated window of three to ten working days and nationwide coverage across the UK. The site states that orders are dispatched with the aim of arriving on time.

The information available at the time of writing included a customer rating of 4.57 out of 5 based on 920 reviews, with a breakdown showing 76% five-star, 15% four-star, 4% three-star, 1% two-star and 4% one-star responses. Individual comments published on the site refer to zip-and-link beds, ottoman storage, headboard sturdiness, mattress comfort and delivery teams helping to move an old bed. These are customer statements rather than verified assessments of the company.
