Droylsden Glass: four decades of glazing and home improvements in Greater Manchester

Droylsden Glass Limited is a family-run home improvement installer that has been trading since 1982. From its base on Audenshaw Road, Audenshaw, the company supplies and fits windows, doors, glazed extensions, roofline products and garden structures for homeowners across Greater Manchester, Cheshire and the wider North West of England. The company presents itself as having more than 40 years of industry experience and describes itself as an award-winning installer.

Windows: uPVC and aluminium ranges

The window catalogue is divided into uPVC and aluminium systems. In uPVC, Droylsden Glass lists casement windows, Infinity flush sash windows, vertical sliding sash windows, Residence 9 windows, tilt and turn windows, custom-shaped windows and replacement windows. The aluminium side includes Origin windows, OW-70 slimline windows, flush sash windows, slimline windows, replacement windows and custom-shaped windows.

Beyond the frames themselves, the company offers window options such as Kubu smart security sensors, integral blinds, secondary glazing, acoustic glass, double glazing and triple glazing. Supporting material includes window FAQs, a buying guide, price information and downloadable documents.

Doors: composite, aluminium and uPVC

The door range covers composite, aluminium and uPVC products. Composite doors include DoorCo and Rockdoor models, with front and back door variants. Aluminium doors include Origin Doors, the OB36+ and Origin Soho Collection OB36+, aluminium bifold doors, Origin sliding doors, bifold doors, patio doors, Spitfire entrance doors and Spitfire pivot doors. In uPVC, the company lists front doors, French doors, flush sash doors and patio doors.

Door options mirror those for windows: Kubu smart security sensors for doors and integral blinds. The site also provides door FAQs, a door buying guide, door price information, door security information and downloads.

Glazed extensions, conservatories and roof options

Under glazed extensions, Droylsden Glass offers modern extensions, structural insulated panel (SIP) extensions in the North West, single storey extensions, kitchen extensions and home extensions. The conservatory and orangery range includes orangeries, contemporary conservatories, aluminium conservatories, traditional conservatories, uPVC conservatories, Kyube garden rooms and porches.

Roof options cover conservatory roof replacements, tiled roofs and roof lanterns. The company also fits roofline products — bargeboards, fascias, guttering and soffit boards — and garden structures such as glass verandas, garden pergolas, canopies and carports. A commercial section addresses new builds and extensions, supported by commercial case studies.

How a project is handled

The company describes a six-stage buying journey. It begins with a showroom visit, where customers discuss plans with the Droylsden Glass team. This is followed by design and order, a full site survey at the customer's home to ensure regulations are met, manufacture by skilled staff using what the company calls industry-leading techniques, installation by fully qualified fitters, and aftercare backed by a comprehensive guarantee and a service team.

Case studies and recognition

The site presents several homeowner case studies. One covers a new-build SIP extension in Hattersley, Hyde, which the company states won the Glass and Glazing Products (GGP) magazine's Installer Awards 2025 in the category of best glazed extensions under £40,000, with judges describing it as an exemplary project. Other case studies cover Origin inline sliding patio doors in Heald Green, a SIP-build orangery in Droylsden, a new-build SIP garden room in Stalybridge, Cheshire, a conservatory replacement with SIP extension in Poynton, Cheshire, and a project for Mr and Mrs Claffey in Prestbury.

The company also states that it has been carrying out installations in Chester, Warrington, Wirral, Trafford, Bolton, Oldham, Manchester, Cheshire, Tameside and Stockport for over four decades. It lists awards and accreditations, a Blue Light Card, corporate social responsibility and sustainability among its corporate information, and reports a rating of 4.4 on Google at the time of writing this profile.
