Floor Express

Floor Express: a Manchester showroom for carpets, flooring and beds

Floor Express is a carpet and flooring shop on Upper Lloyd Street in Manchester. According to its own presentation, it has supplied homes, landlords and businesses across Greater Manchester for more than fifteen years. The showroom brings together carpets, laminate, LVT, vinyl, wood flooring, beds and artificial grass so that customers can compare ranges in person, and the team also keeps commercial flooring samples in store, including commercial laminate, carpet tiles and safety flooring.

The company describes its buying model as bulk purchasing from trusted brands, with the resulting savings passed on to customers. It presents itself as an alternative to high-street pricing without compromising on quality, and it offers same-day takeaway on many in-stock ranges.

Advice by room and by type of customer

The showroom groups its recommendations by room. For kitchens it points to LVT, sheet vinyl and water-resistant laminate as options that cope with mopping and everyday mess. For bathrooms and en-suites it recommends waterproof LVT or vinyl, noting that these do not swell with moisture. In living rooms and bedrooms it positions carpet for warmth, comfort and quiet, with laminate and wood as a cleaner, more modern finish and underlay as an addition for comfort underfoot. Stairs and hallways are treated as the hardest-working areas, with hard-wearing stair carpet fitted by the team.

For rentals and landlords, the company offers durable, affordable landlord carpets and vinyl intended to wear well and be fitted quickly between tenancies. For offices and shops it supplies carpet tiles, commercial vinyl, safety flooring and commercial laminate for heavy footfall in offices, shops and public spaces.

Measuring, quoting and fitting

The process described by the company runs in four steps. Customers visit the showroom to see and feel the ranges; a free measuring visit follows, in which the team measures accurately and checks the subfloor; the customer then receives a no-obligation quote presented as free of hidden extras; and finally the company's fitters lay the new floor and leave it neatly finished. The site also invites customers to bring rough measurements to the store for fast pricing and face-to-face advice, and lists free parking among the showroom's practical advantages.
