The George & Dragon

A cabaret bar in Greenwich

The George & Dragon is a late-night bar at 2 Blackheath Hill in Greenwich, southeast London. It presents itself as a cabaret venue as well as a place to meet for drinks and music. The site lists a dance floor, air conditioning, a pool table and contactless facilities. Visitors planning an evening in Greenwich can combine the bar with other town-centre activities, but should check the programme and entry arrangements for the particular night before travelling.

Cabaret, karaoke and events

The venue advertises cabaret performances and karaoke nights, with an events page for upcoming acts. Performers and dates change, so an older event listing is not a reliable guide to tonight’s programme. Some nights may be busier or have different entry conditions from a regular bar evening. Check whether tickets or reservations are required, what time the act begins, and whether the event has an age or accessibility policy. The venue also lists private hire for groups wishing to arrange their own event.

Finding the venue

The address is 2 Blackheath Hill, Greenwich, London SE10 8DE. The business says it is within walking distance of several Greenwich hotels and near the Deptford Bridge DLR station. That makes it reachable by public transport for visitors from other parts of London. Late-night transport options may be different from daytime services; plan the return journey before an event that runs into the early hours. For a group booking or an accessibility question, contact the venue directly rather than relying on a general venue description.

Contact and planning a visit

The George & Dragon publishes 020 8691 3764 and info@georgedragon.co.uk for enquiries. The opening schedule appears in the practical information alongside the profile; an individual performance may start later and finish earlier than the bar’s trading period. Confirm the current event programme, entry conditions and private-hire availability before setting out, especially around holidays. The venue also maintains Facebook, Instagram and X profiles for event updates.
