Links Energy Ltd: building and electrical work across Merseyside

Links Energy Ltd is a family-run company of electricians and extension builders based in Liverpool. Its stated coverage extends across the North West, with Crosby, Formby, Prescot and Birkenhead named among the locations served. The firm describes itself as working for commercial, industrial and domestic clients and presents its combined electrical and building capability as a single point of contact for property work.

The company states that its team shares over a century and a half of combined experience in the industry and that it has been trading for more than 13 years. It also reports that most of its contracts arrive through word of mouth, which it presents as the basis of its repeat business.

Electrical contracting and accreditation

The electrical division is described as an approved contractor with full NICEIC accreditation, and the company also states MCS accreditation. It maintains in-house estimating and quality management teams, which it says allow it to handle tenders of varying scale.

The range of electrical work covers repairs, fault finding and new wiring installations, alongside full house rewires, alterations to existing installations, EV charging points, electrical certificates and EICRs. The company lists experience across apartment blocks, military, residential, oil and gas, and pharmaceutical environments, and mentions testing and commissioning among its services.

Solar PV and EV charging

Solar panel installation is presented as a core line of work, handled from a free home survey through to fitting the system and an additional battery. The company says its specialists advise on system choice for homes and businesses, and it reports having completed hundreds of solar installs for commercial and domestic customers and fitted hundreds of EV chargers across the North West.

For electric vehicle charging, Links Energy states a partnership with Rolec, a manufacturer in the EV charging sector. It offers arrangements aimed at both domestic users and commercial requirements, with aftercare packages backed by its engineers.

Building services and house extensions

The building side operates as a one-stop shop. It carries out new-build homes for residential properties, renovations and refurbishments, and its team is described as including joiners, electricians, plumbers and heating engineers, plasterers, bricklayers and groundworkers, roofers, painters and decorators, floor layers and carpet fitters. Further services named include plumbing and heating, roofing, kitchen fitting, bathroom installs and cleaning.

House extensions are highlighted as a frequent request in the North West. The company constructs rear, side, wraparound and double-storey extensions, among other types, taking the customer's chosen materials into account. It states that all construction projects are overseen by company director Carl.

Warranty and finance

Links Energy advertises a seven-year workmanship warranty and says it holds many five-star reviews from customers. The company also states that it is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Phoenix Financial Consultants Limited, a credit broker authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, offering finance from a panel of lenders subject to status and credit checks.
