DS Carriers Ltd: removals and storage from Linwood and Paisley

DS Carriers Ltd is a family-run removal company based in Renfrewshire, Scotland, with more than four decades of activity in household and commercial relocations. The company presents itself as one of the highest-rated removal providers in Glasgow, Paisley and the surrounding area, and states that it covers long-distance and nationwide moves throughout the United Kingdom. Its registered office is in Scotland.

The firm operates from two addresses in the region: 3 Lyon Road, Linwood, PA3 3BQ, and 73 Neilston Road, Paisley, PA2 6NA. It describes itself as a local business that also handles moves between Scotland and other parts of the UK, such as Glasgow to London or Renfrewshire to Manchester.

Residential removals and packing

The core service is household removals, from a single-bedroom flat to larger homes. The company explains that it plans each move from the initial survey to the final placement of belongings in the new property. It also offers a pack-and-move service in which its team packs, wraps and transports the contents, so the client does not have to handle the packing.

For furniture, the team can dismantle and reassemble beds, sofas and dining tables. The company states that it provides free written quotations covering every aspect of the move, with no hidden surprises.

Business moves and furniture distribution

DS Carriers Ltd relocates offices and commercial premises, an activity it presents as designed to minimise downtime and disruption. Separately, it provides furniture distribution services for retailers and manufacturers across Scotland and the UK, and states that it works with some of the UK's largest retailers in this line.

Storage solutions

The company offers flexible secure storage for short or long-term periods, ranging from a weekend to several months, according to its own description.

Protective materials as part of the service

The company emphasises that protective materials are not treated as an optional extra but as part of its standard service. It details the following methods:

• Mattresses sealed in professional-grade polythene covers to protect against dirt, dust and moisture.
• Furniture and delicate items fully wrapped in thick moving blankets to prevent scratches and knocks.
• Sofas wrapped first in polythene and then secured in padded quilted covers.
• Flat-screen televisions transported in purpose-built rigid TV cases.
• Wardrobe cartons supplied to keep hanging clothes clean and crease-free.
• Vehicles equipped to secure furniture during transit and reduce movement.
